Historic Rosemont Manor epitomizes gracious southern hospitality.
A fine old Virginia mansion set on a knoll facing east over the Shenandoah Valley, Rosemont has been a landmark in the Northern Virginia area since its original construction in 1811 and a haven for the Washington elite when purchased in the late 1920s by the late Virginia Governor and U.S. Senator Harry F. Byrd, Sr. Presidents Roosevelt, Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson and Nixon were all entertained here, as well as many well-known celebrities and historical figures.

Now after 200 years and a painstaking 13-year restoration, Rosemont opened her gates in September 2010 to the public as Northern Virginia's premier wedding venue. Today the professional staff invites you to be one of our newest First Ladies of Rosemont.
From the moment you pass through the wrought-iron entrance gates, Rosemont weaves her magical spell. The drive leading to the manor winds gracefully through a grove of huge oaks and poplars, interspersed with flowering azaleas, dogwoods, and roses. When the manor house finally comes into view, it is a breathtaking sight. Gracefully proportioned and lovingly maintained, Rosemont beckons to you as it did to those who came before.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that is rich in both beautiful elegance and historic charm, you won't find a more perfect location than Rosemont. With a total of 11 intimate, well-appointed suites and guest rooms available in the main manor house, Rosemont can easily accommodate your wedding party . In addition, various cottages on the estate grounds allow for another 50 guests to be accommodated overnight.
For Your Ceremony...
There are several outdoor sites on the 60-acre grounds to choose from for your ceremony location. You might decide on the East Lawn with its stone stairway, or the South Lawn with its picturesque fountain. Or maybe you'd prefer the West Lawn with its charming gazebo or even a quaint spot beneath one of our nationally prized trees. You can even say your "I Do's" on the lush expanse of lawn where nearly fifty years ago JFK's Presidential helicopter regularly landed. Whatever you have pictured in your mind for those unforgettable moments when you exchange your vows, Rosemont has the perfect location for you.
For Your Reception...
Our grand covered portico with its columned façade and fabulous views of our gorgeous, statuesque award-winning trees, is perfect for your rehearsal dinner or cocktail hour and can easily seat up to 100 guests for an outdoor reception. You may also consider our newly renovated Carriage House (with handicapped-accessible bathrooms, newly installed air conditioning, bar, and dance floor), which is capable of seating 160-185 people comfortably. If you want to "go all out" for your wedding, a tent placed on our manicured grounds, combined with our indoor event space, allows you to expand your guest list to over 500 people.
