Maria at Anytime Alterations is truly the best. She knows what she's doing, is confident in her work, and doesn't let you to wallow between decisions if she knows what is best. She did a beautiful job on my dress, and was great to work with. Super flexible, super prompt, and knows her stuff without a doubt.

Maria made my too-big dress fit like a glove. This was particularly challenging task, since the dress was covered in sequins and tulle, but she's a pro. She also made me a beautiful veil to match. I was so happy with the quality of her work, and she gives great advice. Her price is completely reasonable for the tremendous work she does. I'd definitely go back to her with future alteration needs. She's awesome.

Working with Maria was a great experience! I bought my dress at I Do I Do in Gaithersburg, and Maria was the tailor they used. After the initial alterations at I Do I Do, I went to Maria's shop several times to try on the dress and then to pick it up. Maria was always very professional, super quick and efficient, and very sure of what to do with my dress to make it fit just right. Especially for a bride who was uncertain and hesitant, she was able to give me confidence that my dress was going to be just right! Despite her being very busy (15+ weddings a week when I was working with her) she was still able to accommodate my needs and last minute fittings, just to make sure it fit! My dress came out beautifully and perfect!

Maria did a fantastic job with the alterations for my wedding dress. My dress had been ordered too long, and with it having detailing on the bottom, Maria Luz gave us a couple of different options to deal with this at different price points. She was very good at explaining the different options and price points. The dress fit fabulously and I will be going back to her with all of my alteration needs.

Maria is great. I came to her with an inexpensive J Crew wedding dress that fit awkwardly on the bodice. She reshaped it to my figure, added material to make it less revealing, boning to keep the structure, and a nice new zipper fixing the original cheap one. She's incredibly kind and making my several appointments was quick and easy.One of the sweetest moments of my wedding was when one of my 10 year old guests said I was wearing her dream wedding dress. Melt my heart.

Maria is fantastic! I bought my wedding dress from J. Crew that was both too big and too long. She did one round of alterations and when I went in to try it on we discovered a couple other changes that needed to be made. She made those alterations and the dress was perfect. It’s clear she has her process down to a science because she’s excellent. I’d recommend her to anyone!

Maria Luz is wonderfu! She is friendly and professional. Definitely flexible too...I had to go back several times to have it taken in again, and in the end, my dress fit me like second skin. Take your dress. Put it in your car. Drive to Maria's. You will not regret it. I got my dress from the Running of the Brides and it was about 3 sizes too big. Maria did a beautiful job with it; it fit like a glove by the time she was done. She took it in and took most of the train off, added a bustle, and some more hooks, and fixed the beading around the neckline. She was cheerful and friendly at all of our fittings and had great miscellaneous tips (like wear socks with your wedding shoes when you are breaking them in). She was extremely affordable (less than half what my friend paid to get her dress altered in Georgetown). There is definitely a reason that she has glowing reviews on WeddingWire!I also had her take in a few dresses that I loved but were too big when I lost about 15 pounds and she did a great job with them. Having Maria alter clothes shows you how clothes SHOULD fit!Seriously, go to Maria Luz, immediately!

Maria was GREAT! It was a little scary for me to hand my dress over to someone to cut away at it, but Maria put me right at ease. She gave me several options to give the result that I wanted. While the work wasn't cheap, given what needed to be done to the dress (shortening the dress, which meant moving the lace hem up several inches), I felt her price was quite reasonable. I was really pleased with her work, and my dress looked like it had been made for me when she was done with it! I would highly recommend her services.

Maria is wonderful and can work magic on any alteration needs! She definitely went above and beyond the call of duty with my dress. Due to power outages because of summer storms I couldn't pick up my dress as scheduled. She brought my dress to the hotel that I was staying (over an hour away) the morning of my wedding so that it wouldn't be wrinkled after she pressed it. Fittings were scheduled and done on time and perfectly each time!

I used Maria Luz for alterations of a wedding dress I bought online. She was awesome!! I truly mean that, she was awesome. I ordered the dress at the very last minute from Bestbridalprices.com. It was too big (I knew when I ordered it that it was too big). The next day after I received it, I was desperately looking for someone to alter it, saw the reviews here and gave her a call. Within 2 hours, I was in her shop getting fitted. I started getting so excited as she was pinning because the dress really started to take shape and look great. Ok, price, it cost alot (in my opinion), more than the dress cost actually. But I paid and was to come back in a week for a second fitting. Well when I returned for the second fitting she told me the dress was finished. I tried it on and fell in love. The dress fit like a glove and was perfect. I was highly impressed by her work and how fast she was able to get it done. I highly recommend her! Back to the price, I don't want to give an exact number here, because each case is different, my price was higher because I needed it rushed, so that added a bit to the cost. I also needed it taken in all over and the hem shortened. The bust area had beading which also adds to the cost. I had cups put in, (which I hadn't really thought of but am glad I did). So for me the price was higher than it may be for you, so I don't want to make it seem like she is overpriced. But I did pay alot and she was so worth the cost.

Maria was amazing. She worked with me to make the design alterations that I was dreaming of to my dress, coming up with several alternatives until we achieved the look that I had envisioned. Her work was professional and her approach to making sure that my dress was the right length was to spin me around the shop. Thank goodness she did, or my dress would have been too long!

Maria is fantastic! When I took my dress to her, I was pretty upset as the dress just didn't look like I had remembered when I first purchased it. After three trips to Maria, it was my dream dress once again! I felt like the dress was made exactly for me, and I felt so special on my big day thanks to Maria!

Maria from Anytime Alterations is a true professional. She was wonderful to work with and tailored my dress to fit me perfectly. She did an AMAZING job. She makes sure your comfortable with everything she does before she cuts anything. I went in for three fittings and she was so helpful during each fitting. She even saved the clippings from my dress which I was then able to use for my flowers. She even walked my dress down to my car and laid it in my car so it wouldn’t get wrinkled.
