We used the Manassas location for our cakes. Instead of one large wedding cake, we wanted a couple of different kinds of regular sized cakes. We didn't go for an official tasting -- we simply bought a few different cupcakes and slices of cake from their store. We decided on 4 different flavors: cookies and cream, lemon, red velvet, and peanut butter. We picked up the cakes the morning of the wedding and they were decorated very simply but elegantly -- exactly as we wanted. We barely got to taste the cake but I know the peanut butter got rave reviews and the cookies and cream was deliciously moist. Definitely a success!

Happy Eatery provided a fantastic cake. I'm not usually a fan of wedding cake, normally too formal tasting for me. But this one... so yummy. Our guests loved it too. We had a 3 tier round cake. Vanilla cake with raspberry mouse on top and bottom, chocolate cake with vanilla cream on the middle layer.
And as a very nice feature, most couples have to keep and freeze the top layer for their anniversary. But Happy Eatery actually bakes you a fresh top layer on your one year anniversary for you, so you don't need to worry about storing the top from your wedding day. We thought this was an awesome bonus.
They were so nice, they can build a cake that fits any couple, and it tasted great. Not sure you could ask for...

Victoria at Happy Eatery was wonderful to work with. We chose a simple cupcake tier "cake" that was very low cost, but tasted absolutely amazing! On the day of the wedding, just moments before the wedding was set to begin, movement of the cake table cause the top tier to fall to the ground and break. All without my knowledge our coordinator called up Happy Eatery and without hesitation, they baked and brought in a replacement. I had a wonderful evening and never knew the stress of the cake until the next morning.

Cakes by Happy Eatery did a custom wedding cake for me. I was not 100% satisfied with the results but Victoria was very professional and I believe she attempted to create what I wanted. The cake was supposed to be baked the morning of the event but it tasted a bit dry. The color was supposed to be a light glittery gold but the reality was a buttercup yellow. Overall, it wasn't what I pictured but it was still nice.

We used Cakes by Happy Eatery because they are the baker that our venue required us to use, but we were happy to use them. Victoria was very pleasant to work with. We didn't have any requests for the design, so I can't really comment on that. She obviously knew the venue well and so we just gave her one of our save the dates and let her suggest a design. What she did was cute and went really well with our decor. She also suggested asking our florist for some fresh blooms and she arranged them on the cake instead of a cake topper, and she added some tea light candles to the table, it all looked amazing! I wish we had been given more choices for the cake/icing flavors but all of the options she gave us were good (I just love cake!). The cake was moist and fresh, and while it was not the best cake in the entire world it was definitely better than any other wedding cake I've tasted. I'm looking forward to the "one year" cake she will be baking for us. (Sidenote: We did our tasting at the Manassas bakery, but the Centreville location is literally a block from our house. I got a cheesecake there for my husband's birthday a few weeks after the wedding and it was DELICIOUS!)

The wedding cake was included in a package with the hotel Palomar in Arlington VA. We received comments from everyone on how tasty it was. We had a chocolate cake with peanut butter cream cheese filling that was delicious. We weren't happy with the proportions of cake to filling. The cake was very thick and the filling in between was pretty thin. The cake was included with the wedding package at the Hotel Palomar in Arlington, VA, but we ended up have to spend additional money:( Everyone did love the cake though.

I really love this bakery, but I wasn't extremely happy with our wedding cake. I went with another friend who is also getting married and we both chose to work with this vendor for our cakes. Even though we came in with different and unique designs in mind, we both were somehow led by the vendor to get the same cake, just different color fondant bands. I believe it was the "normal" cake that they pitch at this bakery. I was told that the lots of raspberries cake wouldn't work for an indoor wedding that I was having. "Raspberries are more for outdoor spring events" I was told. Other than that, the cake tasted pretty good but nobody was raving at how beautiful the cake was.

Victoria was fantastic to work with! Our cake look so incredibly beautiful....she absolutely nailed the exact design I had in my head! The only reason I didn't give a 5 in value was because the bottom layer of our four-tiered cake wasn't as spongy and light as I had hoped. We ordered chocolate cake, and maybe due to the weight of the rest of the cake had a thicker consistency than we had expected. Otherwise, an absolute pleasure to work with!

We got our wedding cake from Cakes by Happy Eatery and we were happy with it. Our cake was made up of a non-dairy top tier and three additional tiers of a variety of cupcakes. The decorations were nice and the set-up was quick and on time. All the guests loved the red velvet, but very few wanted to finish the tasteless vanilla cupcakes. I had to put a deposit down on the cupcake stand but it was returned to me in a reasonable time. I was a little surprised at the price because it was a little high and did not include the cake-topper, colored sash/ribbons, or the flowers used to decorate the cake tiers. Overall, service was great and cake a nice.

Our wedding cake was delicious, we just wish we could have had more of it(we were having pictures taken!).
Victoria did a stellar job of creating a cake that matched our idea, simple but stylish, chocolate and vanilla....mmm yum!
Frosting to die for!
Beautifully set up on the cake table, many complements on the cake, both appearance and taste!
We would highly recommend Victoria and The Happy Eatery to other couples who are looking for reasonable prices and creativity!

I'm still having a hard time getting over the sticker shock of wedding cakes. That being said, this was the best wedding cake I have EVER had and A LOT of our guests told me the same. It was delicious and I ate it for about a week after the wedding!
My only problem was the decoration of the cake...it still fit into the theme of our outdoor wedding but I imagined it would look more elegant.

My wedding cake was not only beautiful but so delicious. Everyone commented on how surprised they were with the flavor. Happy Eatery did such an amazing job. We only had a 2 tiered cake and decided pick up the cake to save the $100 delivery fee. I'm so glad we did because the 2 tier cakes are fairly easy to move. However, if your cake is super fancy I would let the experts transfer it to the wedding location.

Thank you thank you thank you! My husband and I are not cake people... at all... We were facing the dilemma as to what to do for our wedding cake. We had no idea whether we were going to want cupcakes or cookies or what. We sat down with one of the consultants there and were SOLD... on CAKE. Who knew? We told her all the sweet things we loved and why. That was enough for her to come up with a fantastic creation... vanilla cake with dark chocolate ganache, bavarian cream, and fresh strawberries in the middle. AMAZING! It was such a stress-free situation, it made our lives all the less hectic.
