Celebrations Catering & Special Events

Once we had decided on our venue, we were instructed that they only used one caterer. I was a little hesitant at first, but once we went to the food tasting - I was THRILLED! When we arrived for the tasting, I thought we had stumbled into an actual wedding reception. The set up was beautiful with table linens, china, food displays and flower centerpieces. The food was delicious. They had the different types of options – plated, passed and buffet style. I really had my heart set on a plated dinner but once I saw the buffet style carving stations with the London broil and herbed chicken, I made up my mind. It was delicious. We were stuffed at the end of the tasting! The day of our wedding- everyone raved about the food. Everything was set up beautifully and most of our guests went up for seconds or thirds for the creamy basil mashed potatoes. It was great. The only grumble is that the woman at the carving station didn't speak or understand English very well. Other than that, we were catered to by our own personal server who took our plates to the table (awesome, so I don't get anything on my dress) and she even saved us some of the hors d'oeuvres that we missed while taking pictures. It was AWESOME!

Celebrations Catering provided food for my wedding at Bluemont Vineyard. My guests raved about the food (in particular, the filet). The staff was very professional and easy to correspond with in the weeks before the wedding. The final head count was required three weeks before the event (I would have preferred two), but other than that, no issues, wonderful service.

Celebrations Catering provides delicious food! We had our ceremony/reception at Historic Whitehall Manor where Celebrations is the venue caterer. The tasting was well organized and allowed us to choose from a number of delicious options. They were able to accommodate a tiny number of vegan and gluten free requests. All of the food from the hors d'oeuvres to the salad to the main courses was wonderful. We've received a number of compliments from our guests on the quality of the food. In addition they did a beautiful job presenting the food. The passed hors d'oeuvre trays had decorative flowers and the meals were presented elegantly.

I worked with Adam Steele from Celebrations Catering for my wedding and had a fantastic experience. Adam was extremely responsive to my requests and was always very professional. When my husband and I were looking for a caterer, we wanted to work with someone who would allow us to provide our own alcohol. Celebrations was extremely flexible about providing our own drinks and several other items to make our event more personalized. The food was great! Even my wedding cake lady raved about their food when she asked who our caterer was from past experiences. Last but not least, their quality of service was exceptional. They set up our venue just as we asked and the staff that worked our wedding was wonderful. Everyone was very polite and attentive. I would highly recommend Celebrations Catering and Adam Steele for any event to friends and family.

The food was great! One of my bridesmaids even said it was the BEST wedding food she had ever had (beating even her own wedding). David Weinschel was super professional, nice, and helpful with planning the meal, our timeline, budget, and beyond. The servers went above and beyond making sure that my groom and I had everything that we needed. I was very pleased!My one caveat was that although David was responsive to me, the bride, my in-laws had difficult time getting a hold of him to plan the rehearsal dinner and a welcome reception. And there were times when I couldn't get a timely response via phone or email either, but when I did get to talk to him he was amazingly helpful, professional, etc.

We used Celebrations Catering for our son's rehearsal dinner at the Stone House in Cascades. The food was even more delicious than when we went for our tasting. The staff was professional and courteous and did an outstanding job. I would highly recommend them for any event. Celebrations Catering was very flexible and was able to provide exactly what I wanted. Since the wedding was August, I wanted a light summer meal for the rehearsal dinner and our menu was perfect. I provided an additional main course and the desserts. I also rented the linens myself separately.

We switched wedding caterers ~4 months before the wedding because we felt like we were being nickel-ed & dimed by another caterer. Best decision we made...we are STILL getting compliments on the food from our wedding! We were also impressed with the speed and service the catering staff provided...we had to go with our rain plan at the last minute and the guys set up the cocktail hour and dinner on a moment's notice. The best part is the bill is itemized so there aren't any surprises immediately before, or after the wedding. My only complaint is that we didn't get to eat anything from the cocktail hour and we didn't get a "to go" box for our food...with everyone visiting us at the sweetheart table, we only had a few bites of the most expensive meal we ever paid for!

Celebrations Catering was the catering company of my venue, The Stables at Bluemont Vineyards. Our venue switched to them mid-way though our planning process which worried us. However, we were quite pleased with the service that we received from them in the end. The food was very good. They were accommodating to the original menu we had in place with the old caterer, but also provided some great new options for us. We received many compliments on the food. The staff were professional. Celebrations was very flexible dealing with food allergies, vegetarians, lactose free meals and children's meals. All of our guests were able to recieve something they were comfortable eating. My only complaint about our wedding day was that the staff began picking up the decorations from the table about 20 minutes before the reception was over which I was disappointed by. It felt like our guests were being encouraged to leave before the end of the reception.

We were very happy with Celebrations. They did our rehearsal dinner and reception. The options were expansive and the food was incredible. Everyone loved it. We had the filet mignon, tilapia, and veggie wellington for dinner. Everyone loved the asian pork bbq during our cocktail hour and the mini lamb chops. Especially the mini lamb chops. I highly recommend the bananas foster for dessert. It was a crowd pleaser. The only issue we had was concerning some of the liquor. We wanted to include Johnny Walker instead of the J&B scotch, and they wouldn't allow us to switch it out which we thought was kind of annoying all tihngs considered. We had white sangria during our cocktail hour and we had to pay extra for that, which was fine, but you'd think they could throw in the switch for the scotch then. They were very strict concerning that one point. Other than that, we were very happy.

We didn't really find Celebrations; they found us. With our wedding planned for Bluemont Vineyard, and having already gone to our tasting and selected our menu with their in-house caterer, we were surprised to find out the Bluemont's in-house caterer had changed to Celebrations! Initially, we weren't really thrilled with that (we were concerned that the food was going to taste totally different than it did at the tasting), but it turned out to be a really great and not at all disappointing.We've had many, many people tell us since our wedding that our food was the best food they've had at a wedding and "didn't taste like wedding food". The filet mignon was especially popular with everyone, but everything was very well received.We were also really excited that they could accommodate our deep desire for a french fry bar. Since the previous in-house caterer at Bluemont wasn't able to do it, we had given up on that dream... but when the new caterer came in, they attacked it with a can-do attitude. Our wedding guests loved it, and Celebrations had all sorts of great ideas for different dipping sauces and seasonings for the fries.Overall, we were thrilled with Celebrations and we highly recommend them.

We had our rehearsal dinner at the Gallery and could not be more thrilled with how smoothly it went (including when I realized my cousin doesn't eat meat and the chef threw together an AMAZING plate for her). Seriously, Alison is a joy to work with. My husband was primarily responsible for the Rehearsal Dinner and he couldn't stop talking about how smoothly everything was going.Plus of course the food was excellent. Foodies will be very happy with this event venue. Also, make sure to check out the evening sunsets their venues offer .... beautiful backdrop for a wedding.

The food at our wedding was just amazing! Everyone commented how it was the best food at a wedding they've ever had. I would definately use them again if I get the chance! :)

Celebrations was fantastic!! They worked with my budget better than any other company I contacted (and I did my research). Their food was amazing and everyone was so kind and helpful. I had guests comment on how the food was the best wedding food they ever had. Adam Steele worked with my budget and figured out a way to supply us what we needed at a price we could afford. He answered every question we had. We emailed him every day (that's not a joke), and he always contacted us almost immediately. Celebrations Catering is THE best their is!

From the initial consult to wrapping up the wedding night, Celebrations did a fantastic job! We couldn't have been happier! David was a pleasure to work with and did a superb job with coordinating everything down to each and every detail. Both the layout and presentation of ceremony items, reception details, and food/beverage, everything was perfect! We had many great compliments from our guests about how delicious the food was and what great service they provided. A lot of positive raves! Great to work with, detail-oriented, great pricing, and FANTASTIC food!! Thanks so much David and Celebrations! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Adam Steele. Work with him! He made our experience with Celebrations a breeze. He was so friendly and accommodating. And he didn't once get annoyed with me during my many, many emails to him to ask questions. The food was definitely the best deal we found and our guests loved it! I was very pleased with the professionalism of the catering staff. Definitely a solid choice for a caterer!

David and his chef were AMAZING! From the initial tasting of our customized menu to the beautiful presentation of the food displays on our wedding day, we could not be happier! Our guests still rave that this was the best food they've ever had - wedding OR restaurant! I thank my planner, Jamie from RSVP International Events for finding them for us!

We enjoyed working w Celebrations. After we did a private tasting w them, we decided to go w them immediately. Prior to the event, both Courtney (no longer there) and Adam both worked with us (patiently) to ensure our event was a success. Adam gave us pointers on things we never thought about (e.g., not putting the deejay table near ours so that it wouldn't ruin our pictures). On the day of, they were on time and professional. We didn't eat much, but heard our guests rave about the food (esp. the steak). One small complaint: They didn't put the flowers my florist left on the cake. This may have been a miscommunication, but I thought the caterer (who serves the cake) was responsible for this. In any case, we are very pleased with Celebrations.

Celebrations was super flexible and helped us execute our event exactly how we envisioned it, for an extremely reasonable price - and the food is delicious!! I cannot emphasize enough how easy it was to work with them! Adam Steele helped us with the planning and he was absolutely fantastic, always available over the phone or via email to discuss ideas, change guest counts, add vegetarian meals, etc. It wasn't even an issue to adjust our contract when our guest count dwindled to about half of what we had thought 4 weeks before the event... After every conversation, Adam sent me an updated version of the catering contract, so I always knew exactly what was going to happen on the day-of. Celebrations had no problem driving 2 hours to our out-of-the-way location, this was an issue for many other caterers that I contacted. Adam even met me there a few weeks before the event for a walk-through and to discuss the schedule of the event. We had complete freedom to set the times each course of our sit-down dinner was to be served, and were able to bring our own linens, glasses, and alcohol. We also got to taste all of the menu items prior to signing a contract. Adam made a lot of excellent suggestions for the menu items (in the end, we kept it almost entirely the way he suggested it).On the day-of, the team was on time and super helpful setting up the reception area. Every member of the team was so friendly and courteous and the communication was outstanding! We really appreciated that they made sure that the few family members who got lost on the way to the cocktail hour got food and drink. They even brought some hors d'oeuvres and drinks out to the wedding party! The food was excellent, hot, perfectly cooked, and every issue that arose during the meal was dealt with in a very professional manner, making the entire evening go off without a hitch, leaving me nothing to worry about :-) They even managed to get the timeline back on track when our photo session went over! Everyone I have talked to so far mentioned how amazing the food was and how friendly the servers were.Celebrations was one of my favorite vendors at the wedding. Uncomplicated, professional, flexible, always friendly, and the food was amazing. I highly recommend them to anyone!!
