Jake Ritchie was wonderful to work with, flexible, responsive and just a really nice guy all around. He had great suggestions and played all of the music we asked for. Even for a small wedding - the dance floor was never empty! Everyone loved the music and told us that he was one of the best DJ's they have experienced. He also went above and beyond as far as responsiveness and offered to help us with a back up officiant when we hadn't heard from ours! Jake definitely made our wedding memorable and fun!

This guy is the real deal. From start to finish Jake was with us planning and coordinating our big day. The party moved along flawlessly from the ceremony to dinner to dancing; everything flowed seamlessly. The dance floor was packed from start to finish with people not wanting to leave. We couldn't be happier :)

Jake was the most amazing DJ! From the very start to our wedding day we were nothing but impressed with him. At our first meeting you could tell he was organized and professional. We met with him twice before the wedding and each time we were very excited about the wedding. He had all of the details in order and helped us figure some additional things out. The day of the wedding was great!! He did our ceremony and cocktail hour in addition to the reception. The music selection for all 3 was perfect!! I don't think the dance floor was empty ever!! I would highly recomend Jake for great wedding DJ Expeience!! He really helped make our wedding amazing!!

We found Jake through friends who got married a couple months before we did, and we are so happy we did. We are a laid back couple and even though we had an idea of how we wanted things to go, Jake's guidance and suggestions really helped things go smoothly on our big day. Jake had great quality equipment and he played through our ceremony and the cocktail hour, which were outside, and everyone could hear perfectly. We then moved inside for the reception where Jake led us through the whole night. This was especially important because we didn't have a formal wedding planner but Jake was so on-time for all of the events, dinner, first dances, cake cutting, that no one needed to remind him of what to do and when. Thanks for such a wonderful night of fun dancing and smooth transitions! Even our photographer commented that you were the best DJ he had seen!

Jake was a fantastic DJ. He was super professional and easy to work with. He understood right away that my husband and I were not going for a traditional type of wedding reception. He actually knew all the music that we love and had lots of songs to choose from (which is unusual for wedding DJs, since we love trance/house/techno, and that is not your typical wedding music). He was very patient with me when I was super late in getting him the Portuguese music that we wanted incorporated into the wedding. He incorporated it so well, and everyone had such a blast. He was dressed very well, and matched our wedding colors :) He led the evening very well, that I was actually relaxed and enjoyed myself (very unusual for me since I am type-A and totally a control freak). Overall he was fantastic and so easy to work! Would recommend his services to anyone!

Jake did a wonderful job at my wedding and reception. The biographies were such a hit that even the caterers were laughing! Very professional and personable DJ. I would highly recommend Jake to everyone for any occasion.

Jake did an absolutely amazing job as our wedding DJ. We found Jake through his great reviews online, and once we had our initial meeting, we knew that he would live up to our high expectations. He is extremely professional, knows weddings VERY well, and even provides many planning worksheets and tools that help you create your reception timeline, playlists, etc. His services are very reasonably priced (especially for his quality of skill), and he is willing to be at the event as long as you need him, which was great for us! During the planning process, he was great with communication, and would reply to emails very quickly. At our final meeting, he also made many suggestions for extra fun activities to use at the reception (which all went over really well!) He definitely knows what works at weddings, and knows exactly how to please a crowd. At the wedding, he frequently checked in with us to make sure everything was going to our liking, and he was not just the DJ, but the MC for the entire night. He kept the night going smoothly, and played some great music that kept the dance floor packed the entire night. All of our friends and family were raving about how much fun they had all night.I would HIGHLY recommend Jake to anyone who wants a GREAT wedding experience, and especially anyone who wants a fun, high-energy atmosphere at their wedding. Jake Ritchie was one of the biggest reasons are wedding ran smoothly. We basically depended on Jake to run our reception. My wife and I had a basic idea of what we wanted to happen during our reception and Jake took our idea and made it happen. He suggested changes to our plan to help our reception run more smoothly. All the suggestions he made was from his past experiences and were really helpful. He also had this workbook full of ideas and songs for us. Jake was always open to bounce ideas off him of what would work and what wouldn't. He was really helpful during the planning process.Another great thing about Jake was that he went out of his way for us. During the reception my wife and I wanted to have a projector and show a video to our guests. Jake went and got a projection screen for us and worked with us to make sure that the projector and computer connections worked properly. Jake was more than just a DJ, he was the Master of Ceremonies for us. He worked out the timeline for us and and kept us on schedule. He lined people up and got us in place when and where we needed to be there. When surprises popped up he adjusted events and the schedule. To sum it all up, Jake has lots of experience and it showed during our wedding. He basically ran our reception and made it really great. Starting from the planning of the reception up to the execution of the plan, he was excellent. I would definitely recommend Jake for DJing your wedding.

Finding the 'perfect' DJ was very important to me and my fiance because we both love music and because the DJ can really influence the vibe of a wedding and ultimately the overall feel & experience you and your guests get. The "Perfect" DJ for us meant finding someone that had received fantastic reviews in the past, was professional (not cheesy), was organized, would keep the wedding on track without too much interruption and the dance floor packed with our favorite music pumpin'. When we met with Jake we got the sense that he was extremely professional and took DJ'ing very seriously. He had lists of music suggestions and photos of his equipment. We felt comfortable that we would be in good hands with Jake so we booked him. A few days prior to the wedding we met with Jake and went over the wedding time line (which he gave us guidance on) and talked about the music we wanted to hear (we had two pages!). On our wedding day he showed up hours early in order to set up. We had a live guitarist for part of our ceremony, and Jake was able to provide him with a mic and hook up. Our cocktail hour was quite a distance from the reception area; Jake had plenty of equipment for both venues. Jake was on time announcing everything, worked with us when our timeline got a little bit off, and he was always prepared for what we needed and happy to help with anything. Most importantly he played the music we loved and wanted to hear! He kept the dance floor packed playing songs we requested mixed with his suggestions. We might have been a sweaty bride & groom that night, but we had a blast dancing our wedding night and so did our guests! We didnt' want the night to end! We would definitely recommend Jake to anyone needing a DJ - you're in great hands with him. Thanks again Jake!

Jake was so nice during our meetings prior to the wedding day and very receptive to our desired atmosphere. On the wedding day, he helped keep everything running smoothly and solved problems before they came to us. He got many of our guests dancing, several of which we didn't think would get up to dance.

Our wedding was one for the books! We were supposed to have an outside ceremony, but due to the rain, we had to make last minute adjustments. Jake was very flexible in being able to rearrange his entire set-up without any problems or any pressure on the bridal party. From our first meeting to the last song, the quality of his equipment and professionalism exceeded far beyond our expectations. We did not want another "generic" reception and he brought a new vibe, which was just what we were looking for. Jake kept the party alive with his eclectic mix, and the dance floor was never empty! Jake was awesome! The ambiance at our wedding this past May was fantastic. He was professional, prompt, played a great mix of music, and was really on point. He was on time, engaged, and really knows his craft. When the floor was thinning out, he changed the pace to get it moving again. It was easy and fun to work with him and he even knew other vendors, such as our lighting team, to incorprate the lights to our music. I would recommend him to anyone, and definitely use him again!

Jake was personable, and tallented. He offered to meet with us several times to help plan and discuss the specifics of the event and music. During the event, he balanced some competing needs for the party, conducted the music for the wedding ceremony flawlessly, and provided for a memorable reception. Everyone had a great time, and the bride and groom had a wonderful event that will provide fond memories for years to come.

We loved how Jake of Dream Day DJs was able to understand who my fiance (now husband) and I were as a couple. We had a number of must play songs, which Jake sent us via email to ensure they were the correct ones; this we were happily surprised. We explained our very eclectic tastes in music which I think threw his for a loop. Jake said he could "sense" from the wedding attendees what music would work best. This strategy worked perfectly!!!! We also gave Jake a CD of Jewish/klezmer music to play and he was more than happy to do so.We are so happy we went with Dream Day DJs.

Jake was amazing! From our first meeting he impressed me with his organized booklet showing me everything he'd need for the night and had pictures of his sleek speakers - I never even saw them at the wedding. He was very responsive and was willing to accomodate our askes, condensing first dance songs and finding specific songs we wanted played if they weren't in his catalogue. He kept the night on schedule, was professional, and kept the dance floor packed-knowing exactly what kinds of music to play throughout the night. DJ Jake was phenomenal! He kept the entire wedding running smoothly. His preparation for the event was impressive. Instead of just introducing the wedding party by name, he gave funny introductions for each person. Our wedding guests are still talking about how much fun it was to hear the different stories about our bridesmaids and groomsmen. He makes everything very easy for the bride and groom. Best of all, his music selection is impeccable. He had the dancefloor going from 5pm to midnight! My calves were still sore 3 days after the wedding from all the dancing I did! DJ Jake is awesome!

Jake did a great job with our wedding. Not only did he do a good job as the MC and DJ, but he was also very organized, and managed the timeline very well. He kept everything on track and moving on queue, which was really great since we didn't have a wedding coordinator to do that for us.
