Georgiana Atkins-Havill

We are thankful to Georgiana from the bottom of our hearts for the beautiful wedding ceremony she facilitated. It was a true pleasure working with her and she brought all the warmth and humor we were looking for into the day.We should also mention that our guests gave us a multitude of compliments on how beautifully she conducted the ceremony. From the poems to the jokes, she did a truly lovely job! This is normally the part where we would say, "We look forward to working with her again," but hopefully that won't be necessary! ;) Perhaps a re-commitment ceremony at some point.We remain grateful that we found her to be our officiant.

"Georgiana made our wedding ceremony so perfect! I highly recommend her. When we first met her, we automatically knew we had picked the right marriage celebrant. We were so relieved. Georgiana has a very pleasant personality, which makes her a beautiful person. We were so fortunate to have found her. She was right, the whole ceremony fell into perspective, and she assured us of that. My husband, my family, and I are looking forward to watching the video part of the ceremony. As Georgiana said, “Your ceremony is the most special part of your wedding”. I had very little expectations when it came to our officiant. We just wanted someone to come in and get the job done. However, I have to say that Georgiana completely exceeded my expectations and gave my husband and I as well as our families a beautiful ceremony. It was the extra touches that she incorporated into the ceremony that made everything so special. You can tell after one conversation with her that she loves her job and takes pride in making sure that your ceremony is one to be remembered.

We recently got married last month on September 24th 2011. Georgiana was highly recommended to us by our venue as someone who would provide us with “a unique and customized ceremony that you will always remember.” All of our family and friends loved her and the service as well as how passionate she was during the ceremony. Georgiana was VERY personable and took the time to get to know who we are in order to make it sound like she had known us for years.

I talked to several officiants while trying to determine the right one. Georgiana was so easy to talk to and just by talking on the phone she seemed like the perfect fit.We met with her the week of the wedding to go over things and figure out what we were doing. Once we met, I knew we had picked the best person for this. I've heard tons of positive feedback from guests about our officiant. She was able to tie in some religious aspects to please the family, but keep the ceremony geared towards us. Everyone loved her and I still continue to hear positive things today!

Georgiana did a fabulous job officiating our wedding on 9/2/11. She was funny and thoughtful and just really set the mood/tone for our guests and for us. We micro-managed every other aspect of the wedding planning but when we met Georgiana, we just knew we could let go of the reins and let Georgiana do her job. We were glad that we didn't know every details of the ceremony because it was so nice to see the ceremony unfold for the first time, even though we were in the middle of it all. I don't know if that makes any sense to you. Her sage words helped me focus on what's really important that day: our love for each other and our families and friends. We've gotten great compliments from our wedding guests--everyone loved her! We've definitely referred her on to our engaged friends! :)

I recently got married this month on August 7th 2011. We were recommended to Georgiana by friend who also had Georgiana in their wedding. Georgiana is very professional and my whole family loved her and her speech. She has a great and loud speaking voice, enthusiastic and you can overall tell by her presence that she is passionate about her work and making your special day perfect!

Mrs. Havill kept her promise when she stated that we would not have to worry about a thing!!! Everyone was running late and no one knew their place. It was one big Chinese fire drill!!! As soon as she hit the center of that gazebo I knew that we were in good hands! She had a lovely speech and made our ceremony very memorable. Overall she is outstanding at what she does! I will definitely recommend her for future newlyweds. I will vouch for that!

Georgiana was serious when she said that we wouldn't have to worry about the ceremony part of the wedding. She took care of everything, and even stepped in to address some rocky issues between the parents to ensure that the wedding would be a complete success. Thank you so much for everything, Georgiana! We really couldn't have a better officiant for our wedding!

Georgiana was absolutely the best person we could ever hope to have officiate at our wedding. She not only came up with an outstanding ceremony and vows, but also left us speechless. Several guests mentioned how awe-inspiring her address was and thanked her personally. She will always be in hearts for what she added to our day!

My partner and I are not religious people (and both from different religious backgrounds). We wanted a non-religious wedding that was personal and different from the run of the mill civil ceremony. We met with Georgiana a couple of weeks before our ceremony so she could get to know us better and so we could ask any questions. She covered all with a relaxed and proffessional attitude that eased both me and my partner. On the day of our wedding, Georgiana arrived early and mingled amongst our guests. The ceremony covered all the basics as well as a some lovely words and poems by Georgianna. Our ceremony was truly wonderful and it made our day all the more special! My Aunt, just raved about our officiant after the ceremony and she is a hard lady to please so well done Georgiana! Thank you!

Words can't express how happy we were to have Georgiana as our celebrant. We communicated mostly by email and only met with her once, about a week before the wedding. In that face-to-face meeting, Georgiana asked us about ourselves: what we did for a living, how we met, details of the proposal, etc. Based off of that meeting and a few emails, Georgiana delivered a beautiful, heartwarming, and personalized service. It wasn't one of your typical routine services. Instead, it was colorful, unique, and tailored to match our own personality and style. If you pick Georgiana, you won't regret it. She is a kind, charming, professional, and lovely person to work with. I would recommend her to any of my friends in a heartbeat.

Georgiana was top notch. She was absolutely fabulous, extremely poignant and flexible/responsive to our needs. We could not have asked for a better celebrant. Her sincere words and professionalism were everything we were looking for and made our special day perfect. We would without hesitation recommend her to anyone.

We chose Georgiana based on her high marks from weddingwire. She was very friendly to speak with over the phone and responsive by email.We met with Georgiana at her home about 2 weeks before the wedding. For about an hour we sat with her in her living room and discussed our plans for the ceremony and she asked us about ourselves. By the end of the meeting we felt more confident that under her guidance things would work out just fine.On the day of the wedding Georgiana showed up about 20 or 30 minutes early and introduced herself to our parents and members of the wedding party. We had our wedding outside and it was very windy that day. Georgiana chose a wonderful poem that referenced the wind - a perfect choice to break the ice! During the ceremony her words and quotes suited our laid back style and captured our relationship very well. We’re so glad we chose Georgiana for our wedding and we highly recommend her!

Georgiana is incredible. I wouldn't choose anyone else! We interviewed quite a few officiants and quickly realized that she was the only one we would want. She is very relaxed, excited and full of great advice. She made everyone feel at ease and my guests cant stop talking about how much they loved her message and overall demeanor. As the bride, I knew everything was ok in her hands.

Georgiana was excellent! She took time to get to know us as a couple, and used what she knew to make our ceremony personal. I surprisingly talked all through the ceremony, and she just smiled at me and let me be my goofy self. She's great!

Georgiana married my husband and I a few weeks ago and it was wonderful! We got many comments from friends afterwards that they teared up during the ceremony. She really made it personal and special.

Georgiana did a beautiful job and was upbeat, friendly, personable, and really got my husband and I even more excited for our big day. We talked and emailed a number of times before our personal meeting 2 weeks before the wedding. At our planning meeting, she really put us at ease, asked us about how we met, about our backgrounds, our families, and what sort of wedding we envisioned for ourselves. She told us what to expect and assured us we would know exactly where to stand and what do as long as we followed her lead- we rehearsed in her living room.On our wedding day, Georgiana arrived approximately 40 minutes before the start of the ceremony, met our parents, some of the bridal party, and was wearing lovely and appropriate clothing. She has a clear, loud voice so even the guests in the very back row could hear her sermon, and smiles! She has a wide repertoire of readings to draw from to tailor the ceremony to you. She read some wonderful words by e.e. cummings for us, and really made our parents feel a part of the ceremony too. Georgiana incorporated some personal details into the sermon that we didn't even have to ASK her to mention-she is very intuitive and naturally wove into the ceremony text the facts that I was wearing my mother's own wedding veil, my grandmother's wedding ring, and that one of my husband's groomsmen is the person that played matchmaker for us, 11 years ago!
