Rosemont is the perfect wedding setting and a hidden gem! All of our guests were amazed that they hadn't been to this to this gorgeous place before. We did the full wedding weekend package and it was perfect. It was so wonderful to have all of our family and friends together there for the weekend. It also made everything much more relaxing. We kicked off the weekend with a great rehearsal dinner out on the portico Friday night, the view from the dinner tables was breathtaking. On Saturday morning almost everyone took a leisurely walk around the property and just enjoyed the great weather and beautiful scenery. It did start to rain about an hour before the ceremony and everyone was so helpful and flexible, all of the ceremony items were moved up to the portico and I don't think anyone even noticed the rain. The groom did have a tux emergency and Michael was able to save the day by rush ordering a tux Friday night and ensuring it arrived in time on Saturday. Bill, Biff and Michael were all amazing to work with and you truly do not need to worry about anything while they are there! The only complaint I heard from anyone was that the Innkeeper Andrew had been somewhat rude to apparently a few of the guests. I personally did not experience this but did get this feedback from several people staying there for the weekend. For the experience and atmosphere here it is well worth the cost, which is actually very reasonable considering everything that is...

In my experience, not many people can honestly say they had the perfect wedding. Thanks in large part to Rosemont, I am one person who can. I am not one of those women who grew up planning her wedding. When it came time to get married, I wanted simple, meaningful, and drama- and stress-free. My husband and I wanted a beautiful outdoor place to get married, in the scene Shenandoah. We wanted to find somewhere in Virginia convenient to airports and hotels, since both of our families would be traveling from diverse states. I compiled a list of dozens of vineyards, wineries, and historic manor houses in the Shenandoah area. The very first one we visited was Rosemont. We were stunned by how beautiful it was, and the staff (three of them!) took the time to sit down to talk to us. We were not to realize until later how rare that was. My husband was ready to sign the paperwork right away. I was a little intimidated by the price, and insisted we visited all the other places on our agenda before making a decision. I was amazed. For not much less than Rosemont was asking, we could rent out barely decorated garages, muddy fields, rundown old houses, or almost inaccessible, inappropriately small buildings. It was staggering. We got back to Rosemont as soon as we could, and booked the First Lady Wedding package. I am so glad we did. Working with Rosemont made planning our wedding probably as stress-free as such an endeavor could be. They were creative in helping us come up with pie-in-the-sky ideas, and realistic in helping us address our budget. They worked with us on the size of the wedding and reception, and proposed locations for each. Staying in one location all weekend—for the rehearsal dinner, wedding, and reception—gave the whole weekend a wonderful sense of self-containment and continuity. And the historical beauty of the house is not to be rivaled. We ended up doing a rehearsal dinner inside, with our wedding out on the lawn (I walked out onto the portico), and the reception in the gorgeous Carriage House. Each event had its own distinct flavor, but each was surpassingly elegant and lovely, and a perfect reflection of our taste and style. The rehearsal dinner was the perfect size and coziness in the parlor, and we were able to move out into another room to watch a slideshow of photos. The wedding out on the lawn was absolutely amazing. The hills and trees made the perfect backdrop, and I won’t ever forget the way it looked. The gazebo, rocks, fountains, fields, trees, and guest houses made for absolutely stunning wedding photos. And the Carriage House was decked out in fairy lights (a happy surprise for us!) and we had decorated with candles and old-fashioned barn lanterns. It was absolutely perfect, exactly the picture I had in my mind. Rosemont partners with Celebrations Catering, which meant we didn’t have to look for or test out caterers; an excellent one was built right in, and Celebrations and Rosemont work together very well, coordinating table linens, chairs, tables, decorations, menus, and layouts. We got married on an October afternoon, and were very lucky to have perfect weather and stunning golden light. Our photographers took pictures of us separately getting ready, and here’s something I hadn’t anticipated when planning the wedding: The preparation photos are almost as good as the ceremony ones, with the Rosemont suites as backdrops. (The dapper groomsmen in the red Churchill suite, and the demure bridesmaids in the sunny Eisenhower suite.) They’re lovely intimate portraits. We had a lot of family and large wedding parties, but we were able to house all our immediate family at the Rosemont itself for the entire weekend. Some of our close friends and the rest of the wedding party were able to stay in the houses on the grounds, which was very convenient and cozy for everyone. It was perfect. Having everything in one place allowed me (and everyone else in the wedding party and family) to remain calmer than we would have any other way. We didn’t have to rush around driving anywhere, nothing important got lost in anyone’s car or left somewhere it shouldn’t have been, and it felt like a big, old-fashioned house party with all of us running into and out of each others’ rooms getting ready. The suites are so beautiful and comfortable that it was like being at a luxurious hotel, but with the cozy intimacy of staying at someone’s house. It’s as if, for this weekend, you miraculously inherit a gorgeous estate, run by family who want nothing more than to see you happy. I would highly recommend anyone get married this way. The First Lady Package offers a wonderful value; having family housed all in one place was priceless, the house itself is beautiful, and the scenery is unmatched. The experience is one I will treasure, and the photos are gems that will last forever. I had no idea a wedding could be all at once beautiful and perfect, and also so calm and so much fun. Rosemont is a perfect place to...

Exactly one month ago we were married at Rosemont Manor in Berryville, VA where we chose to have a Friday wedding and also our Thursday night rehearsal and rehearsal dinner and what a wonderful time we had on both days! When we starting looking for venues we visited a few before Rosemont and they were fine, but when we came to Rosemont there was no need to look any further, that was our venue. We met with Bill and David who explained all of the packages and food options and were even willing to work with us on the date. We really wanted to reserve all of the rooms and have the weekend experience but on a Thursday/Friday instead of a Friday/Saturday. All of our friends and family are still talking about how much they loved our wedding at Rosemont and our best man really summed it up when he said that it felt formal and still like a home and very comfortable at Rosemont which is exactly how we felt too. Even though we were lucky enough to have wonderful weather on our wedding day and we were married on the back lawn, I never worried about the forecast after we booked Rosemont because as the other brides have mentioned, there are plans B and C just in case it rains, you can use their gorgeous portico or get married inside the main house in the foyer. I loved having those options, and they even suggested a few different areas on the lawn to have the ceremony if the weather cooperated enough to have it outside. We felt that the food was a tad pricey and you are required to use their caterer, but it was all delicious and honestly I loved not having to shop around for a vendor for food and table and linen rentals so it was worth it to me. We also felt very well taken care of at the reception by the caterers. We chose to go with the buffet dinner to save a little money but we never felt like we wanted for anything. The staff did a wonderful job on both the rehearsal dinner, which was also delicious, and the reception dinner! Overall we had the best couple of days we could have asked for! We were able to walk from the reception at the carriage house back to the main house after it was all over and straight up to our room, no traveling to another location which we loved! They had also moved all of our gifts into our room and set out a plate of cheese and crackers and a slice of our wedding cake in our room. We will never forget the late night snack at the end of our wedding day while we read some of our cards from our family and friends. What a wonderful way to end our special day! All of our bridesmaids and groomsmen and a few family members stayed at the house with us too and we got to see all of them again the next morning at breakfast which was so nice. We feel incredibly lucky to have gotten a chance to have our wedding at such a special location with a group of people like the owner Biff, Bill, Andrew, and Michael who truely love the house and the history of the property, and it shows!

If you want that fairytale wedding go to Rosemont. The staff are all amazing. Bill, Andrew, and Biff will do everything in their power to make sure that you have that picture perfect wedding. They will bend backwards for you and really go that extra mile. They have plenty of space on the property to accomdate large weddings. It makes it so nice to have all your family in one location by renting out one of there houses that is only a few minute walk away from all the main attractions. You have the mountains, rose gardens, fountain, Manor house, everything you can imagine all in one place. You want an indoor, outdoor, or in between wedding/reception no problem they can handle it all. If it rains no problem because all sites are gergous and can handle all your guest. I promise you will not be disappointed if you sign a contract with Rosemont. They are new and are filling up very quickly so dont wait to book that site visit with them. I promise Bill and Andrew will take good care of!!!:)

Rosemont Manor made for an absolute dream wedding. The manor house and grounds are absolutely stunning and Bill, Biff, and Andrew (as well as the rest of the Rosemont staff) were professional and extremely helpful. Throughout the entire wedding planning process they catered to our every need, constantly making us feel like we were their top priority! It was almost as if we had 3 wedding coordinators helping us throughout the entire planning process! They put so much care and love into the manor house and grounds and it really shows!

AMAZING!!! We had our reception here at the end of January - a very tricky time of year - and it was absolutely perfect. I had always admired the beauty of Rosemont when it was used as a home for Washington, D.C. elite so when I found out they were renovating it into a wedding venue/B&B we HAD to have our reception there. As it turned out we were the first "couple" to use the venue after the renovation. The home is 200 years old and has all the charming characteristics that go along with historic buildings but has all the upgrades of today. It was really important to us to find a balance between something elegant & classy, yet relaxed and Rosemont was every bit of that. It felt very regal because of the beautiful woodwork, intricate home decor, & colonial colors yet homey because our family & bridal party could run upstairs to their respective rooms to change, rest, or freshen up. The staff were amazing to work with as well. The owner & manager were easily accessible and very reasonable. I had several special requests & they were able to work with me on basically everything. The catering they used was phenomenal. We had a strolling reception because we had so many guests and everyone complimented us on the delicious & elegant food. The innkeeper, Andrew, was a doll & cooked everyone a wonderful breakfast the next day. We hired the wedding planner that works with Rosemont, Debora Haughton, and she took care of EVERYTHING that day & night so I did not have to worry about a thing. I honestly cannot say enough good about my experience at Rosemont. We told them our budget and they were able to figure out away to give us our fairly tale reception. If I had to do it again - I wouldn't change a thing.

Rosemont was a dream come true. When John and I walked in, it just felt so right we knew we were hooked. It was like comparing apples and oranges to other venues because of what Rosemont could offer in their all-inclusive First Lady wedding packages. We went for the ultimate Jackie O package and were so glad that we did. All of our immediate family, bridal party, and a few other relatives were able to stay on site thanks to the extra cottages that Rosemont recently renovated. It was just like the description on the Rosemont website: http://rosemont1811.com/events/a-weekend-in-the-life-of-a-rosemont-bride/ I got teary eyed when I first read that and while I recognized it was kind of cheezy, it is every girl's dream! And this dream can come true! And it did for me. Second to having all of my loved ones on site, my second favorite thing about Rosemont were the multiple options for the ceremony. I had never thought I would be comfortable with an outdoor wedding (especially in August!) but I was assured by have 3 plans contingent upon weather. Plan A: on the east lawn of Rosemont with the beautiful rolling Virginia hills in the distance. Plan B: under the cover of the Portico with the same lovely view. Plan C: I would walk down the grand staircase and get married in the lovely Rosemont foyer. It did rain the day of my wedding and so we had to go with Plan B, but now I think I would recommend that as plan A to most brides! Everyone has sure, level seating under the shade of the Portico and you still have the same lovely view. To make my entrance more dramatic, they had me walk around the house (although it rained the day of my wedding it didn't rain during the ceremony) and up the steps to the Portico, but I think you could also make a dramatic entrance by walking the length of the foyer. Only the groom gets to see you and feel that anticipation, but he's the one that matters, right? The Rosemont Carriage House was also a lovely venue and the PERFECT size to comfortably seat my 125 guests + a dance floor and photo booth. I am so grateful for all of the hard work that the assistant innkeeper Suzanne, manager Bill North, and event manager Michael Haymaker put in. I didn't see them much the day of the wedding, but I could tell they (and everyone at Rosemont) were working their tails off behind the scenes. And my bridal party gushed about the food Suzanne made, including gluten-free meals for the best man, and how helpful she was with setting everyone up for the weekend. At the end of our reception just before we ran out underneath the canopy of sparklers, Bill North and our caterer David Weinschel appeared out of nowhere. It was like they were these happy gnomes who wanted to say a cheerful goodnight at the end of their day's work. We thanked them and ran out to our loved ones and off to the nearby Byrd's Nest - their newest bungalow. By the time we left, I felt as if we were friends with the Rosemont staff and John and I look forward to spending many anniversaries there in the future! The only reason I knocked one star off of value is that Rosemont was expensive and we definitely had to make compromises in other areas to afford Rosemont. That said, my groom thinks the extra money is worth it for the peace of mind that comes from working with such outstanding professionals who really go above and beyond to make your dream wedding come true. Until we buy a house, this will be the largest purchase of my life but I can happily say I have no regrets. John and I wouldn't change a thing.

AMAZING VENUE! Rosemont was the perfect backdrop to our two day Bangladeshi-American wedding extravaganza. We really felt like Rosemont was our home for the weekend. The pictures came out unbelievably great, the weather was superb and the staff and service was amazing. It's been a month and our guests and family are still talking about our wedding. It wasn't just a big day for Sean and I, you guys helped us throw a fantastic party for everyone in attendance! We will return for many years to come and I cannot thank you guys enough!

Rosemont Manor is an absolutely exquisite venue for a wedding and reception. My daughter and her new husband recently had their wedding there and it was a wonderful experience all around. Rosemont Manor became our home for the weekend as the rehearsal dinner and wedding were both held there. This lent a very personal feel to the whole weekend as we were able to enjoy our family and friends in this gorgeous home all the while being attended by a wonderful staff who stayed in the background. The managers were easy to work with but I would recommend reconfirming all details with them right before the wedding, especially if you aren't using a wedding planner. The cost of having a wedding at Rosemont is not cheap but competitive for the area. Rosemont Manor uses Celebrations Catering and they did a good job overall. Food was enjoyable, but buffet and bar lines were a bit long. All in all, an absolutely unforgettable experience and the pictures with Rosemont as the background will be treasured forever.
