I had my reception here on Friday, Dec.16th. I had the honor and pleasure to work with Pebbles. This woman is a genius. My reception would not have been as beautiful if someone else would have done it. She went above and beyond to help me on every little detail to make my dream reception become a reality. She is an exceptional human being and she knows exactly what she is doing. I was very grateful to have her take care of one of the most important days in my life. She made my night bright and absolutely beautiful! Thank you Pebbles for being such an amazing person. I am so indebted to you. Keep doing an great job! Holiday Inn is lucky to have you.

An amazing hotel and ballroom at a reasonable price. Great staff, great accommodations and overall a perfect night. Our food was fantastic.

My fiance and I started planning our wedding less than 3 months before the actual day. First off, the Holiday Inn was definitely the best price for the best package. Just about everything was included (minus obvious stuff) and booking that close to the date was no problem. Upon first meeting Pebbles, we were sincerely pleased with how knowledgeable and friendly she was. Pebbles genuinely wants to make your day as perfect for you as can possibly happen. She doesn't push anything on you that you don't want and is more than accomodating when little things come up and you need to email or call her. My (now) husband and I cannot possibly say enough great things about Pebbles and the Holiday Inn in Gaithersburg. The room was perfect, the food was great, and the bartender was fantastic with all of our requests. Pebbles checked in several times throughout the night and one final time before leaving for the evening (we had a late wedding). My only regret is it only happens once. Do yourself a favor and definitely book with Holiday Inn Gaithersburg and ask for Pebbles. She is the absolute best!

We had our wedding reception at Holiday Inn – Gaithersburg on October 1, 2011. My husband and I compiled a massive excel sheet of all wedding venues in and around this area, including their prices, reviews, etc. The value of the Holiday Inn’s wedding packages was among the best (although their prices have slightly increased since then, I believe they still have a great value). We narrowed our list to our top choices and toured and interviewed with the staff. Amanda, the catering manager at the time, was a perfect fit for us and our style of wedding and had received so many positive reviews on wedding Wire so we decided to go with Holiday Inn. We highly recommend this venue, especially if you are having many guests from out of town. Holiday Inn makes everything extremely convenient. Our guests flew in from all over the US, took the metro to Shady Grove, and then Holiday Inn’s free shuttle service picked them up from the Metro. (The shuttle runs every half hour and will take guests staying at Holiday Inn to and pick up guest from locations within 5 miles of the hotel). Our wedding ceremony was at St. Rose of Lima on Clopper Road and we were even able to set up a pre-scheduled time for the shuttle to take guests to the ceremony and bring them back! Many of our guests did not even have to rent a car. Lake Forest mall is across the street, they could even walk to it if they did not want to take the shuttle. Our guests told us the food at our reception was good. We had a plated dinner of Porter House Steak, Crab Cake, and Champagne Chicken. I especially enjoyed the crab cake dinner; it was the most popular choice among our guests. The champagne chicken did not look quite as pretty on the plate, but I remember it tasting good at the food tasting prior to our event. The Porter House steak was a custom choice of ours. It looked really good and was very big! We were very happy with our choice of having our reception at Holiday Inn. Planning your wedding is a very stressful thing to do, especially if you do not have any family in the area and are planning it yourself. The staff at Holiday Inn really tries to help out as much as they can. The only unnecessary stress I encountered with Holiday Inn was when they switched the catering manager from Amanda to Pebbles without notifying us. As I mentioned previously, we chose this venue based on Amanda. I found out only 2 months before our wedding of the change and even though Pebbles tried her best to make a smooth transition, I did feel a lot of stress when I was finding out that things I was told by Amanda was not how Pebbles did things. I sometimes felt like I was asking for something special when really it was something I was already promised by the previous catering manager. After we were all on the same page, everything ended up being beautiful. I think the problem I ran into is rare, I was just unlucky with my timing as Holiday Inn changed the person in charge of our wedding from the 6 months we signed the contract to the time of our event. I think Pebbles did a great job with our wedding and will do a great job with your wedding. I can see that she really cares and sees the importance in every small detail. She really wants to do a good job. We attended the food tasting Amanda put together, and although it was nice, there were a bunch of kids there and the food was served buffet style. I saw pictures of Pebbles’ Food Tasting. The atmosphere looked really great, she had vendors bring flowers, do lighting, set the tables, etc, and served the food plated so you can get an idea of what it will feel like at your event. We also used the Potomac Room between our Wedding Ceremony and the Reception for a cultural wedding ritual (of my Husband’s country) and Pebbles exceeded my expectations with this. I really did not expect her to be responsible for anything for this, but she made sure the room was set up to our preference including staging, and even made us a computerized lay out so we could see how it would all look. The day before our wedding we found out there was a problem with our satin napkins. They would not hold a pretty fold, and the fold was falling apart. The staff suggested some less attractive options, but Pebbles made sure that we were happy and they actually ironed the napkins to make sure they provided us with what we wanted. That just goes to show how dedicated Pebbles is and how she truly wants the bride and groom’s day to be perfect. She also offered to send up hors d’oeuvres to our room while we were changing before the reception. I thought that was a very thoughtful gesture. If you will have a large number of guests dancing all night, I suggest you verify what size your dance floor will be. The ballroom may fit your number of guests, but the dance floor may have to be small in order to accommodate all the tables. I know Pebbles and her staff will maximize the space as much as possible, but if the size of the dance floor is something that is important to you, you should check that out before you sign. I also suggest you purchase some uplighting for the ballroom. It can create a romantic (or whatever mood you would like to set) atmosphere. We actually hired a vendor that provided us with lighting that changed during different parts of the reception to create different moods. If you would like lighting, Pebbles can help set that up. We had a sweetheart table on staging with the bride and groom, and then a head table in front of us (floor level) with our 8 member-wedding party. I thought it looked great! We attended a wedding this weekend and the bride, groom, and wedding party were seated at a round table. We could not see them much and we never got a good view of them with the wedding party. I was really happy that Holiday Inn gave us this option. It made for some great photos! We had a great wedding and are very happy how everything turned out. Thank you Pebbles and the rest of the Holiday Inn staff! PS – The Bridal suite is pretty SWEET!

They did an awesome job with the food, the service, decoration and pretty much worked with our budget! Amanda Mowbray is awesome! Our wedding reception went so smooth and was so beautiful! We picked the Holiday Inn because of their package deals and it was high value for the cost. Every question we had was answered in a timely fashion, the whole planning process was made so simple. We were planning our wedding in a short amount of time...3 months...and having an inclusive package (linens, DJ, table decor, cake...even recommended our photographer) made it so easy. We couldn't have been any happier with how everything turned out. Every one had so much fun and couldn't stop talking about how beautiful everything turned out. Thanks to Amanda and her team!!!

The Holiday Inn Gaithersburg was absolutely wonderful to work with and made my wedding day go PERFECT!!! From the beginning, they were absolutely flexible and were able to accommodate all of our specific requests and made sure everything that we wanted would be included in our package. Amanda was wonderful to work with and was very responsive throughout the entire process with any questions that we had. Would highly recommend-was very pleased!

We were very pleased with the Holiday Inn and AMANDA!!! We had our rehearsal dinner, wedding and a brunch and all events were extraordinary! Overall, our wedding was amazing and we enjoyed every minute!! When it comes to the preparations Amanda is always available to help and answer questions, she responds you your calls/emails very quickly and always has an answer. The platinum package is the way to go because everything is included! This makes things easier and less stressful. Amanda made sure all services provided were in order and really listened to what we wanted. Also, the wedding suite that is included was amazing! We would definitely recommend this venue to others for their special day or other events.

June 5th, 2010 was the happiest day of our lives. Holiday Inn along with all of the wonderful staff made sure everything went as smooth and perfect as possible. Amanda was the best during the 8 months that we had been planning this great day for. She made the impossible possible for us. The food was great, the service was excellent. We just had our wedding reception at Holiday Inn Gaithersburg on May 22. I must say that this place knows what Customer Service is all about. Hands down they are the best! We worked with Amanda Mowbray throughout the wedding planning process. Amanda is every brides dream for a wedding coordinator. She was very helpful, always accessible and really catered to our needs. She was very easy to work with and extremely nice. And she doesn't push you beyond your limits. We were on an extremely tight budget, but I wanted to order the chair covers and sash to add extra touch to the decoration. Instead of pushing me to spend spend spend, she gave me the options to use their newly purchased chairs to save some money. I thought that was a really nice gesture. And she also graciously stored my wedding gown prior to checking in to my bridal suite since I didnt want to transport it from my house back and forth. The food at our reception was also delicious. We had a buffet style reception and ordered salmon, london broil, candied carrots, potatoes, and salad. I must say that the salmon was moist and perfectly cooked and the london broil was really tender. We were really satisfied with their catering department. We had a few vegetarian guests and they also catered to their needs. And one thing that really touched me was that one of our guests has celiac disease and they went all out to prepare her meal that was gluten free. How amazing is that? They really outdid themselves. Since our reception ended at 4, we had to continue partying. So we rented O'Malleys, which is a pub restaurant on the basement of the Holiday Inn. Amanda helped me get this venue set up as well. We had our DJ set up the Karaoke and his spinning table so that the guests can sing and dance at the same time. We also had pick up foods and I must say those little burgers were to die for! James, the restaurant manager was very gracious and nice to us as well. I almost felt like we were so demanding. But he was so patient. We really tore the place apart. I meant in a good way. Our over all experience at the Holiday Inn Gaithersburg was amazing. We were really satisfied with the services they have provided. And Amanda and her team are amazing! So don't look any further, Holiday Inn has everything you need. We really had a great time and all our guests can't stop talking about how an awesome party we had, starting from the reception to the After Party. The Holiday Inn Gaithersburg provided a lovely event for My Daughters Wedding Reception. Every detail went exactly as planned, the food was great , the service was great, and everyone had a wonderful time!!! Amanda was great to work with. We only had the reception at the Holiday Inn and it was everything that my daughter wanted and more. Everyone siad that everything was nice and the meal was wonderful. I had another daughter and when she gets married we will for sure have the reception at the Holiday Inn in gaithersburg. Also i would want to work with Amanda.

This is a great venue for wedding receptions!! They are extremely flexible and were willing to work within my budget and give me exactly what I wanted! The cost was very reasonable and the service during the actual event was GREAT!

The Holiday Inn In Gaithersburg did an awesome job. They offer a great package and they are way better priced then the other hotels in the area. I highly recommend this as a reception venue. We got the Platinum package and we were very pleased. The service by the wedding coordinater and other management that were helpful to us during the planning process was great. The reception was amazing. The food was wonderful. the bridal suite is beautiful. The only thing I would complain about is if you are staying over night and decide to continue your party after the reception ends in O'Malleys (The bar in the basement of the Hotel) I wouldn't recommend it. The bartenders were extremely rude. I would recommend using the Maryland Room which is a complimentary room with tables that is included in the Platinum package to have drinks after the reception instead of spending money in O'Malleys for bad unfriendly service.

Amanda was very flexible and willing to meet all of our needs. She allowed the bride (our daughter) to use the bridal suite ahead of time to dress there. We had the Meeting Room for our guests to gather after the reception. Her staff were very gracious and considerate in packing up our gifts and supplies. We had a lot of comments on how good the food was. Definitely I would highly recommend this Holiday Inn and especially Amanda to all my friends not only for a wedding reception but also for meetings.Amanda was very prompt in responding and just a great person to work with.Thanks AmandaCarla
