Jan - Professional Makeup Artist

Jan is phenomenal! She did such a fabulous job on not only my make up, but on my bridesmaids too! I don't think I've ever been in a wedding before where everyone was completely happy with their make up! Jan is extremely professional and so incredibly responsive! She was definitely one of my best vendors! I can't recommend her enough!

I have no idea what I would have done without Jan! I hired Jan after a bad trial run with my previously contracted vendor. She was extremely responsive and flexible, offering to come to my house for a trial a few days after I initially contacted her. She came prepared with all the tools and knew exactly what would look best on my face. I ended up hiring her to do makeup for the entire bridal party and she was a huge hit. My mom looked amazing (but still looked like my mom!) and I loved how my own makeup looked. She was on time, professional, and very fun to be around - she even brought music to make the getting-ready process more enjoyable. She is a one-woman team, so timing might be more difficult for brides with bigger wedding parties (I had 8 people get makeup done - five bridesmaids, me, and two moms - the timing worked out perfectly), but she is 100% worth it. Thank you Jan for saving the day!!

I am so lucky to have found Jan! Her work is fabulous and she is such a genuinely wonderful person to be around. It was such a pleasure spending time with her and her assistant while my bridal party and I got ready on my wedding day. My makeup looked absolutely incredible, I genuinely could not have been happier or felt more beautiful. Jan is simply amazing! I recommend her 100%. I had special circumstances as I am highly allergic to many products and Jan went above and beyond to make sure I was able to use every product she selected for me - going so far as to send me different products throughout the planning process to test on my skin. I was so comfortable working with her and she made me a very at-ease bride! She also applied my bridesmaids makeup as well as my mom and mother in laws - everyone looked so beautiful - like themselves, very natural, beautiful makeup that brought out their best features. Jan is the VERY best - I will be sending every future bride I know her way!!!

When I needed a make-up artist for my wedding party I turned to Weddingwire. I found Jan and contacted her to see if she could handle my large group...she contacted us back right away and I have to say that I'm SOOO glad that she did because she has got to be the most fabulous make-up artist out there!!!! I don't know what I would have done with out Jan, she made me look gorgeous, glamorous, bridal, and feminine. I had such a great experience with Jan all around. She is so responsive to all your messages and any questions, at my trial-she spent so much time explaining the make-up and what she was doing and how to apply it, she makes sure you always feel comfortable with what she is doing! It was such a great experience! On the day of the wedding, Jan arrived early and was extra timely. She spent the perfect amount of time with all my bridesmaids and my mother. And, of course, she spent extra time on me! Not to mention, she made my mother look AMAZING. Jan is wonderful! Not only is she fun to work with, but she's super organized and very professional. She was also very flexible with my last minute scheduling changes. I even left a key to my hotel room for her so she could get started on my ladies' makeup while I was at the hair salon. I wanted something more "Oscars" than bridal for my makeup, and she knew exactly how to incorporate that. I got a lot of compliments on my makeup, and on Jan herself from everyone who's makeup she did.

Jan is a wonderful make up artist, she is personable and friendly while also being professional. She is truly an artist who makes you look and feel your best. My makeup never budged, and part of my wedding was outdoors! She also has a calm and confidence that let me feel relaxed, and knew that, in her hands my make up and looking beautiful was one less thing I need not worry about on that day!

I found Jan on Weddingwire and she was wonderful. She did both a trial and day-of makeup for my wedding and did a fabulous job on both. I don't ordinarily wear a ton of makeup and didn't want to look like a different person with makeup on - she kept my look natural while still making me look and feel beautiful. I couldn't have been happier with her work. In addition to her talent as a makeup artist, she was incredibly pleasant to be around, she was extremely calming on an otherwise stressful day, she showed up early and got right to work, and I think her pricing is competitive. I would hire her again in a second, and would recommend her to anyone seeking a talented, responsive and professional makeup artist.

Jan was absolutely amazing! I rarely wear make up and I was quite concerned with how the wedding day application would go. Jan came highly recommended from one of my MBA classmates. Jan was so wonderful at the trial, she listened to my concerns and even went out to search for the exact lip color I was looking for. What a saint!As my bridesmaids got their make up done on the wedding day, I was so pleased with how gorgeous they each looked. It was absolutely awesome to have Jan work on my bridal makeup! She was very accomodating and very flexible on telling me what looked best on me while also taking into consideration my comfort level for makeup. I highly recommend her to anyone who wants to look their best on their wedding day!

Jan is amazing! She does beautiful work and is a joy to be around. She came to my house for the trial and from the minute she came in the door she was great. She spent time talking to me and my mom about what kind of look I was going for and what she thought would work best for me. It looked flawless when she was done. I don't usually wear much makeup (mascara and blush on a good day) so it was truly amazing to see the results. The day of my wedding, she arrived early and was getting set up when I arrived. She did my makeup plus four bridesmaids, my mom, and our officiant. Everyone was done in plenty of time for pictures. All of us have very different coloring and face shapes but she was able to make everyone look just about as beautiful as I have ever seen them. The first of our pictures just came back and we all look just as good as I remember. I felt like I was wearing a lot of makeup (not uncomfortable, just more dramatic than I am used to) but in the pictures it looks perfect. I would recommend Jan to anyone. In addition to being an amazing makeup artist she is also a pleasure to be around.

I loved working with Jan! She was so friendly and made me feel comfortable from the first moment I met her. She was very professional while still fun and down to earth! My mom and I LOVED our makeup on wedding day! Jan worked her magic and made us both look and feel pretty! Jan was AMAZING. My last make-up artist had cancelled on me only a few months before the wedding even after I had paid her for the trial make-up. Jan stepped right up and met with me for a trial and did a wonderful job! I was sooooooooo happy with her work....she made me look absolutely beautiful and she listened to everything I wanted. I'm sort of a glam girl and love the dark eye liner and Jan gave me just what I wanted but showed me how I could have that glam look without going overboard....the make-up looked soooo perfect in the pictures and she really made my eyes pop. Everything about her make-up made me look natural, but glamerous like I wanted and I couldn't have picked a more perfect make-up artist. She is really talented and has the best personality...she was soo accommadating and so friendly. I loved having her for my wedding and I would reccommend her to everyone!!!!!!

I absolutely love Jan! She is a very talented makeup artist, and a great person to have for your wedding. She has a very fun and personable demeanor, and she really helped me to relax before walking down the aisle. I will admit I was hesitant about getting a makeup artist for my wedding, as I love makeup and didn’t think I needed to hire an artist. However, I went ahead and had a trial run with Jan to see how she would do my makeup for my wedding. Jan came to my house for the trial, and within minutes I knew she would do a great job. When I finally saw my face in the mirror, I was so pleased with how elegant and classy I looked! Of all the vendors I booked, I am so glad I had Jan for my wedding. All of my bridesmaids loved working with Jan. She met with each of them individually, and discussed how they wanted their makeup – from soft/natural to really super glam! I really liked that she was able to design a makeup application with each of them individually so they would be comfortable and confident with their makeup. By taking this extra time, she was created a natural and flattering look for each bridesmaid so they each felt special and beautiful. As for my makeup, Jan created the perfect smokey eye and ultra glam look! I received so many compliments throughout the night. My makeup was absolutely perfect, didn't smudge, and came out perfect in the pictures! I didn’t want to take my makeup off at the end of the night!!Jan is an absolute sweetheart and she is incredibly talented. Working with her was a completely stress free experience - Jan is definitely in demand and I can see why. I recommend her highly, and I look forward to working with Jan again to do my makeup! Book early with her to make sure you get her for your wedding! You will look gorgeous!

Jan was my most "perfect" vendor. She responded to ALL of my emails within a few hours, and usually it was within one hour. She was so genuinely nice and had a reassuring way about her. I knew from the makeup trial that she would help calm me down during the morning of the wedding day! She did a great job on my bridesmaids and my mom (my mom looked especially fantastic!!) and was flexible when I needed to add one more bridesmaid after we had already booked.
