I hired Jarrett to perform live guitar at my ceremony and cocktail hour for our wedding this past weekend. He adjusted to music to the ceremony so that the music and ceremony were seamless. Prior to the wedding, I emailed him numerous times with questions, and he gave me great recommendations and samples of music so that I could put together a ceremony that fit us. I requested he play traditional Latin guitar (although he plays both classical and standard hits), which he did beautifully. My guests loved it. Hiring him was a great value and I would recommend him to anyone.

Ok, this is the groom writing this review. I am a musician and I'm super particular. While we had not originally intended to hire a musician for our special day, I wanted to surprise my bride, and she was absolutely floored to walk into the venue and have Jarrett's incredible, amazing music filling up the room. Jarrett agreed to perform on incredibly short notice and responded to my initial email within an hour (several other candidates took up to two days to respond). His playlist is versatile, combining a great mix of classical, contemporary and Latin selections to choose from. I selected the playlist and Jarrett performed it with grace and elegance. Also, he arrived well ahead of the scheduled ceremony. I would highly recommend Jarrett to anyone looking to make their wedding day extra memorable.

Jarrett is an excellent musician. All of our guests were very impressed by his performance, and even the minister mentioned to us how great the music was. The list that Jarrett provided us to choose our music from was extensive, and we were pleased to be able to pick some less-traditional music that was just beautiful. I would certainly recommend him to anyone looking for a professional and extremely talented live musician.

Jarrett Laskey was a total pleasure to work with - he played beautifully, he was extremely accommodating, and he was completely professional. We asked for some really unusual song choices for classical guitar ("Take Me Out to the Ballgame," anyone?), and he played them perfectly, without batting an eye. He is tremendously talented and I cannot stress enough what a pleasure it was to work with him. I was so happy that we selected him and incorporated live classical guitar into our ceremony. My wife and I got engaged in Spain so we wanted to tie in that into our wedding. Thanks to Jarrett this was a success. From the ceremony to the cocktail hour he played Spanish guitar and we are still getting complements on his performance. I have heard Spanish guitar before but he was absolutely amazing, I could not have asked for a better performer. I now find myself looking for excuses to throw a celebration together just so that I can hear him play again. If your looking for a guitarist to perform at your wedding you need look no further.

We hired Jarrett for out October 2011 wedding ceremony and cocktail hour. Both events were held outdoors. We found out about Jarrett during a simple Google search. My wife wanted a ceremony with a Spanish guitar theme. His website samples of Spanish and classical music clips sounded excellent and we liked the previous positive reviews as well. We met with Jarrett prior to the wedding to discuss what we wanted in addition to all the details of the ceremony. Jarrett was very easy to work with and took all of what we said and ran with it perfectly. He sent us some great suggestions of the procession piece. The one we chose was perfect. On the wedding day Jarrett showed up and was entirely prepared for the event, no hassle. His performance during the ceremony and cocktail hour was flawless. Several guests commented on his excellent performance. One guest said his performance during the ceremony was his favorite part of the night and that some of the pieces that Jarrett played were favorites he had not heard in a long time. Our only regret was that we had to take photos during happy hour and we missed a tremendous cocktail hour performance. We highly recommend Jarrett for any event when you want to please all the guests.

Jarrett did an AMAZING job at our ceremony. I gave him almost no guidance on what to play except for asking him to learn one song for us - only a week and a half before the ceremony! I also told Jarrett the wrong time to show up and realized a week before the ceremony!! So the fact that Jarrett learned the song and played it beautifully during the procession, and was also flexible enough to show up 30 minutes earlier than originally planned makes me want to give him 10 stars. Hire Jarrett for your ceremony - you will not be disappointed!

Jarrett performed both the wedding ceremony and pre-reception cocktail hour, and he was great! His classical guitar playing perfectly accompanied our day, and we highly recommend him!

Jarrett's music selection was excellent and he was very professional.

Jarrett was prompt in answering emails and offering suggestions for songs when we weren't sure. He worked in all requested pieces into the intro and ceremony. I would recommend him to anyone looking for a classical guitar for their ceremony/event.

Jarrett's was a gentleman: punctual and masterful in his musicianship. The mood that his elegant guitar brought to my son's wedding was celestial. He was even able to spontaniously participate in a trio (Jarrett volunteered his guitar to what previously was a lovely violin/cello duet) that turned out splendidly. I recommend him without hesitation.

Jarrett was hired to perform at our Valentine's Day dinner at our club. He provided beautiful music that the members truly enjoyed. The selection of music was approriate and the volume was just right. His music added a special touch, and he was very easy to work with.

Beautiful music, coped with potential rain/drizzle/venue change (fortunately the weather was fine)...the music floating across the water at the Lakeside Gazebo at Meadowlark Gardens was magical...

Not only did Jarrett play amazing music for our wedding ceremony, but he also learned two new songs that were very special to us for the occasion. He also went an extra step to arrive early & practice with my cousin, who sang as I walked down the aisle. Jarrett was amazing! He provided ceremony music for our wedding and also cocktail music during our reception. He was able to set the mood for our guests that we had envisioned!
