TLC Bridal Boutique

I absolutely LOVED working with the woman at TLC to find my wedding dress! I tried a few other places first and nothing compared to the individualized attention and special service I received with TLC. I was the only person there for my appointment and they really listened to everything I told them about our venue, budget, and style that was right for me. Every single dress they chose for me fit me perfectly!! They worked with me through all of the details and questions that I had and really took care of me. It was a truly wonderfuuuul experience and I would recommend them to any bride looking for that perfect dress and a great experience! :)

TLC in Frederick is the kind of place where you can find a wedding dress on your own speed and time. I had the best assistant helping me narrow down all the different kinda of dresses to find the perfect one for me, and my budget! It was a special experience, being one of two brides trying on dresses and having that one on one attention with the assistant. They also have the most up to date styles so you know you don't have to go any where else.

I went to TLC to try on "the dress" in the right color (when I originally found it at another store it was in ivory). Though I only had a 1 hour appointment and they were quite busy, the entire staff was more than accommodating and allowed me to try on a few other dresses that I saw just to be sure. Once I had decided on my dress, there was zero pressure to purchase it. I actually left (because I didn't plan on getting married until next year) and when I called in a panic because we moved our date up by 1 year they got me right in for a measurements. I again asked to try on the dress just to be 100% sure and they were again very patient and did everything they could to make me comfortable and confident in my decision. All in all I'd definitely recommend at least going to try on dresses if for no other reason than to have a pleasant experience. The staff is wonderful and do everything they can to make sure you're sure of your decision.

I purchased my wedding gown from TLC and had a fantastic experience - they were extremely helpful, nice, and accomodating when I found my dream dress! So it seemed like the obvious choice to take my bridesmaids there to order their dresses... big mistake! The consultant who worked with us didn't seem to know what she was doing and the woman who took care of the financial end of things was rude to her staff in front of us and extremely pushy. We ended up ordering 5 dresses from them and spending over $2,000 but they still had the nerve to call, saying they had made an error in calculating the final balance and we needed to pay the additional $20 they had miscalculated! After all of the business and money we had given them, you would've thought they'd have been professional enough to wave the $20 THEY didn't account for. It really is a shame because until the experience with the bridesmaids, I would've recommended them. They do have a nice selection of dresses and the bridal consultants are nice.

TLC Bridal Boutique is excellent!! They have a great selection of dresses to choose from at reasonable prices. All of the ladies that work there are extremely friendly, helpful, and flexible. You can tell that they are all very knowledgeable about dresses, accessories, etc and are passionate about what they do. I purchased my bridal gown here and was so pleased that I brought my bridesmaids back to purchase their dresses here as well. All of my bridesmaids loved the Boutique! My mother even found a gown here that she loves and will be buying for my wedding. Would definitely recommend TLC Bridal Boutique!!!

I visited TLC Bridal Boutique when I was on my last limb of wedding dress shopping. I had 3 horrible experiences before TLC and I was ready to give up. I entered TLC and was received with open arms. I felt comfortable and special just like a bride to be should feel! I was having issues since I am not a size 2 bride but they had dresses that fit even a size 10 bride. My representative Susan listened to what I wanted in a dress and picked out selections that met my criteria. After the second dress, she offered a dress that was a little out of my realm and I loved it!!! She was experienced and wonderful and knew how to make me feel special! The value was incredible! My mother and I didn't know what to expect to pay in price since it is a "boutique" but they assured us that no dress would be over $1,700.00 which was well within our budget. Once it was time to order my dress, Susan was sure to tell me how beautiful I would be even though I was a little self conscious about some parts of my body. After ordering my dress we had a little mix up of the date my dress would be in but after a couple phone calls my dress was overnighted and everything worked out well. In addition to my beautiful wedding dress, I order my bridesmaids dresses from there! Everyone was attentive and I was able to choose the dress before my bridesmaids came in so it wouldn't turn into a disaster. I can not stress to any bride to be how wonderful of a boutique this place is!

I highly recommend TLC Bridal to any bride out there shopping for the perfect wedding gown. The customer service is outstanding!! From the moment I walked into the shop, I felt like I was at home. TLC Bridal was the fourth or fifth bridal salon that I had visited, and I still didn't have a good idea about what kind of a dress was best for my body type. I was fortunate to have Terri, the owner of TLC Bridal, assist me when I first arrived. She was so much friendlier and more accommodating than the women at the other shops I had gone! She helped me find the best silhouette for my shape and from there, it was just a matter of finding the perfect gown. Truth be told, I actually did not find "the perfect dress" on my first visit to the shop. I found what I thought was "the one" at another store I visited later the same day, but I enjoyed working with Terri and the other women at TLC Bridal so much, that I returned to their store to actually order/purchase the dress, knowing that TLC carried the dress designer--even though I had initially tried on the dress at another location. When I returned at TLC Bridal, Terri suggested that I try on one other dress before I made my final decision. I did, and the rest is history. I totally fell in love with the dress Terri suggested--it was absolutely perfect for me, and I cannot wait for my wedding day to wear it! Thank you TLC Bridal for helping me find my dress--I truly believe I couldn't have done it without you!

These ladies were wonderful! After my sister-in-law had a wonderful experience here, I put them at the top of my list for dress searching. They were flexible and made accommodations to fit me in twice with my busy schedule. They helped me with everything, from trying on a dress to offering recommendations. While they did not have the actual dress that I ended up picking, I chose to order it through TLC because their service was so outstanding above all the other stores I went to (which was a lot). This really is a adorable, comfortable place to pick out your dream dress and have a great time doing it!!

Overall I thought the service was good and I was very happy with my dress (I had a short engagement so I bought my dress "off the rack"). The shop had beautiful dresses within my price range - and they were conscious of price range when showing dresses. However, during the appointment I did feel rushed and alot of pressure to make a quick decision. When I asked if I could think about it and come back in an hour (after lunch) to make the purchase - there was resistance (although in the end they said it would be OK- but I was required to call before returning). Also, while I know this is not there area - I had asked what they thought the alterations on the dress would be - rather than saying I don't know- I was given an estimate that was less than half the actual cost (going throught their recommended tailor service)

I initially went to the shop with my mother-in-law to be because she had an appointment for her mother of the groom dress. Susie helped her and was super-super nice. She first asked me what my dress looked like. Embarrassed, I told her I hadn't quite gotten one yet and the wedding is 6 months away. The reason was I just couldn't find "the" dress within my budget (i found plenty in excess of my budget!). I also thought I wasn't going to find "the dress" since I thought my budget was on the low-side (many of the boutiques I went to made me feel that I had a low budget). This was not the case at all with TLC. Susie told me that my budget was more than enough and they had plenty of dresses that would meet my price point. Also they do not work off commission, and they didn't make me feel pressured in any way at all either. Susie asked me if I'd like her to ask the owner if they could fit me in for an appointment. I agreed, because I already felt very comfortable with them reassuring me that my budget wasn't too low and just maybe I could find something here (5th bridal shop I had been to). This is when I met Terry, the owner. She was so helpful, and she too reassured me that my budget was very possible. She didn't once try to push me over my budget, and was nothing but helpful and knowledgeable based on what I wanted which wasn't easy! Vintage/Modern/Romantic. After 10 dresses, Terry helped me FIND IT!! It's a beautiful silk Justin Alexander, beautiful lace detailing/applique, everything I wanted but didn't think I could get, but I DID! And my mother-in-law to be also got her mother of the groom dress!! :) There was one minor thing that I felt like my dream dress was missing, which was lace along the bottom of the dress, and again, how great!! Terry said it was an aesthetic detail that their seamstress could add on, no problem!! DONE! I got my dream dress, and was even under budget! Now i can spend more on accessories :) They have really beautiful mother of the bride/groom dresses, and bridesmaid dresses. I would definitely recommend them because of the friendly service, the beautiful dresses, and their ability to help you find the dress you want within your budget. I also met Susie and Penny whom both were very sweet and helpful in every way too. It's appointment only, so make sure to make one! I went back to go look at bridesmaids dresses with the girls. I felt embarrassed because we were late, but it was snowing out and traffic was horrible. But, when we got there, they were very helpful and let us know that there was another bridesmaid appointment after us. I thought the girls and I had found the bridesmaid dress, but I just wasn't sure. TLC did not pressure us and gave me the time I needed to rethink it through. I wanted something more luxe, more elegant for the brides. Sure enough, when I went back to go look at bridesmaids dresses, Susie and Penny were just super super helpful, and because of their genuine desire to get at what I was looking for, we sure did find it. They have really great accessories too that wont break your budget. I haven't called the order in, but 6 bridesmaid dresses, coming up! This place makes me feel really...

I have ordered my wedding gown and my bridesmaid's dresses through TLC Bridal Boutique, and am so far very happy. From the minute I walked into the shop, I knew that I was going to have a much better experience than at David's. Everyone was very friendly and professional. I was seen almost immediately, escorted into the bridal room, and talked with the saleswoman (sorry don't remember her name) and told her what I did and did not want. We walked together to pull some dresses and she really listened to my vision. We pulled about 8 dresses. I tried the 1st, it was very lovely but not for me. The 2nd I knew right away was the one. It was fabulous and I could not stop smiling. This was actually a dress that Terry chose for me. I tried on the others, just to make sure there wasn't another that I liked better, but number 2 was the winner. They let me put it back on, accessorize, and just bask in my beauty! The process of ordering the dress went fairly smooth. There is a little stress because the dress will not arrive until a few weeks before the wedding- Chinese New Year is delaying the shipment. So far I am very happy, but we will see how things pan out in March. I liked the atmosphere, staff, and dress selection so much that I had the bridesmaids get their dresses from TLC. The staff worked well to listen to my friends and choose dresses in our price range. So far, a great experience. Some of the dresses are a bit pricey, but that's not TLC's fault. I thought they had a great range of dresses, from some under $1k to others over. I'd absolutely recommend this vendor to other brides.

I love TLC boutique! We found the perfect dress for my daughter's wedding. The staff is fantastic. They took their time with us and we never felt rushed. The dress was beautiful and perfect for my daughter!

Terry and all the ladies at TLC are just wonderful. My mom and I were driving downtown looking for the place after just attending a funeral. (Mom lives about 2 hours away) We wanted to locate it and if they were still open, just peek in the bridal room to see if it was a place we wanted to make an appointment with. It was probably ten minutes before closing time and when we approached the door the sign said "By Appointment Only." I didn't want to just walk in, so I called from the street, explained that I just wanted to see the bridal room and make an appointment and Terry (the owner) had us come on up. We had NO intention of trying anything on that day, we just wanted to see if it was somewhere we wanted to explore. We'd been to David's Cattle Call in Hagerstown - don't get me wrong, David's does have some beautiful dresses, but they don't listen to you and they are pushy for the high pressure sale. We'd stopped in another shop in Hagerstown and the lady was rude - telling us she did not have time to speak with us, but here are some books and if I see anything I want to try I would need an appointment. Hence the reason, we wanted to test the waters at TLC for atmosphere. Well they get a slam dunk right there. We went up to the Bridal room, explained the situation and that mom was here down for a funeral and we wanted to just take a peek and see if it was somewhere we wanted to make an appointment for, I didn't know what shape, my budget is $0 (because I just think it's silly to have this ginormous wedding - but my fiance' thinks it's an important celebration - I'm the "non-bride" bride). Terry told us that most of her dresses run between $800-$1500 some a little higher, some a little more. Looked at my shape and said you need a this a that and a this to accentuate here, take away here, and do this. Told me to hold on a second and I thought we were going to make an appt. Instead she made a phone call - after store hours - pulled 5 dresses out and that was that. She's good... she's really good. She knows her stuff, she's friendly but straight up, she HEARS what you're saying, she won't coerce you to spend more than you're comfortable with and - I can't say it enough - she's good. So 5 dresses, we got to number 5 and she said "I can usually tell when a bride has found her dress" I asked if I'd found mine - she said yep, but I'm not telling you which one it is... Mom and I narrowed to 2, I made an appointment to bring my best friend/MOH & Grandmother in to look at the 2 - they were unanimous and Terry was right, I'd found my dress. (When my MOH was there we had an appt to look at maids as well and we received the same level of service and weren't rushed like some other reviews have stated - we had the time we needed - but there are other appointments waiting and if you're indecisive, then it's best to stop and move on to another time.) So my dress.... it is a Casablanca that I NEVER would have chosen for myself off of their website - but I highly recommend this designer. They will make adjustments for you (I wanted mine higher on my chest) they will hem once so make sure you have the shoes you want to wear, and they do a beautiful corseted back WITH matching modesty panels. AND all less than 1K!!! I was THRILLED. We ordered the dress in a color combination no one had seen and I picked it up this past Saturday - IT. IS. GORGEOUS. I am thrilled with it and was able to go in a little early for my pick up and get another dress off the discontinued/sale rack for a black tie event at the same time - again, Terry plucked it right out of all those gowns and I thought it had been custom made for me - fit like a glove - and I'm a curvy girl. The service is excellent - I can't say enough good about Terry and the TLC girls - the shop is small, there are clear parameters - like making an appointment, no refunds/returns, and pick up guidelines - but it's all right there stated in signs around the shop, discussed with you when you place the order, etc. Make your appointment girls, go see Terry, and TRUST her - she will put you in the dress that is the MOST flattering to your body and leave you stunning for your wedding day!

Though I may rate other vendors a 5.0, TLC is one for which I can absolutely unequivocally do so. X-posted from my reviews on Yelp: I had an exceptional experience here. This was the fourth store I visited, and though I generally had a good experience at all of them I found this one to be wonderful. Terry, the owner, was my bridal consultant, and I completely appreciated her warm, genuine, helpful nature. She did not try to push anything, was very honest in her assessments (e.g. she tactfully told me she thought a particular dress was not flattering-- I think the term she used was "uniboob"), and even opened with "Well, you only have one day with your mom and I don't want to waste your time so I'm not going to show you any dresses that don't meet your criteria so that you still have time to look elsewhere if you don't find it here." My mom and the rest of my entourage loved Terry as well. I did not have a 'perfect dress' in mind, but I did know I wanted more coverage than most dresses allow. TLC, like the other three stores I visited, had mostly strapless dresses (which I did not want) but I still managed to try a variety of dresses that were not strapless. And-- I found my dress here and it was very reasonably priced! We had a minor misunderstanding and Terry was super responsive on making sure I was not frustrated, changing her schedule at the last minute for me. She's really a great person to work with, and I am still glad I bought my dress here. I showed up for my accessories appointment, Terry showed me exactly one veil (different one than I had tried on at my first visit), and I loved it and bought it. It was perfect. I don't even remember if I told her my criteria (I like a rat-tail or lace trim, I don't like sequins, I love blushers), but she picked the perfect veil with the right amount of detail to complement my dress. And, it was in my price range! She did not try to oversell me anything-- I brought in my own shoes and necklace and she told me she loved them. I totally trust her.

Awesome experience. Closed on Tuesdays and was my only free day during the week to call, other than that.. highly recommend!

Last Thanksgiving I bought my Casablanca dress from T.L.C. Bridal. It was truly a wonderful experience. I went with my Mom and we were given thoughtful, kind care. We picked out 8 dresses and the owner Terry had me try on a dress that I probably would not have picked out on my own. Of course that ended up being the perfect dress. They were careful about my price point and only showed me one dress that was over and said it was for the shape and if I liked that shape we could find one in my price point. They were very attentive and kind. The remarkable thing happened after I chose the dress. My Mom was crying and the owner Terry commented "I know Mom it's an emotional time." I mentioned we had just lost my father a couple of weeks earlier and we were still very upset. Terry invited us to share Thanksgiving dinner with her family. We were so honored and we went! It was a lovely experience and she is truly a great person with a good heart. She has her clients best interest in mind and on my wedding day I wore a simply beautiful gown and had a million compliments on it. Thank you so dearly to T.L.C. bridal for all the help, kindness and an amazing Thanksgiving dinner at a really hard time in my life. You are the bridal boutique with class, and a heart. Thank you again!

Honestly, had I only gone for my gown, I probably would have given them 5 stars. I worked with Terry, the owner, and she's fabulous. She's kind and very knowledgeable. I wasn't uncomfortable at all and I was the only bride in the shop at the time. I loved my gown and though it was more than I was planning to spend, we went ahead and purchased it. The dress came in exactly when they said it would and I had no problems when I came back to try it on and pick it up. However, I returned with my bridesmaids and the service was terrible. The selection is extremely limited and pricey, you are only given 45 mins to try on dresses, and though it was snowing outside, it was like a sauna in the dressing room. I don't even know the person's name who "helped" us because she was rude and not worth knowing. She disagreed with every opinion offered (not that we asked her opinion), didn't answer any of our questions, or take the time to really help us in any way. We were almost relieved to be run out of there at the end of our brief time there. So overall, yes for bridal gowns, no for bridesmaids dresses.

I visited TLC after an unsuccessful trip to David's. At David's we had to beg the salesperson for attention and she was rushed trying to help other customers. While the prices are great there, the dresses I tried on were not very flattering on me and even with the seemingly huge selection, nothing really felt right. At first I was nervous to try TLC because I assumed they'd be way out of my price range. However when I called and made an appointment and told the salesperson I wanted to spend less than $1000, she was very supportive. During my appointment, the salesperson worked with me and only me so I had her full attention. She never tried to push me out of budget. The store carries a wide range of dresses in every style and price point. They even have a variety of sizes in house so I wasn't just trying to fit into sample sizes. The staff is extremely knowledgeable about the dresses they carry and about options as far as alterations. I ended up ordering my dress and it arrived by the time it was promised. When I went to pick up the dress a salesperson again gave me one on one attention to help me choose a bra and jewelry. You definitely have to make an appointment - the size of the salon is small and they want you to be able to work with a salesperson individually. The selection was very good and the service was very helpful. I was definitely happy with the experience and love the dress I found there.

I loved the dress that I got from TLC. However, there were quite a few bumps in the road when ordering and receiving the dresses. We ordered both my dress and my bridesmaids. Terry was very accomodating with the issues and quick to respond and rectify them. First my dress was ordered a size larger, due to my bust, but then had to pretty much be taken down an entire size. I know this isn't necessarily their fault as they went off the chart they had, and I accepted, but it definitely increased my costs when the dress itself was expensive. When my dress came in it was missing a shawl that came with the dress, which they did not realize. They called the designer and had them ship out a new one which came in a timely manner. When it came to the bridesmaids dresses I was not told that they will be ordered all at once, until the last girl came in which made it close for comfort. Then once they came in I had a bridesmaid down in FL and due to a lack of 'double checking' they sent her the wrong bridesmaid dress. Shipping was comped and fixed quickly, but made it a bit of a hassle. Other than these problems everyone was accomodating and nice. The shop itself has various different designers and styles of dresses.
