Leora was a joy to work with. She is truly a wonderful person and she did a great job as the officiant for our wedding. She worked with us to create a unique ceremony that was personalized and not particularly religious. She had many good tips to offer about weddings in general (not just the ceremony). She advised us on how to get our marriage license and even picked up our marriage license for us at the DC courthouse. She was extremely helpful for the rehearsal and made everything run smoothly and easily. I would highly recommend Leora to anyone looking for a wedding officiant.

Leora is AMAZING!! While we didn't use her to officiate our actual wedding (my husband's mother did it) we did ask her to do our pre-marital counseling. It was probably the best thing we did. She was so comfortable to talk to; we both felt like she really listened and help us talk through a lot. Leora was VERY FLEXIBLE regarding meeting times. She was GREAT!

When we first got engaged, we interviewed several officiants for our wedding as this is one of the most important and intimate parts of any wedding. I knew very early on after a few e-mail correspondences with Leora that she was meant to officiant our wedding. She met us for coffee to ask a few questions before drafting a few options of the ceremony script. We went back and forth via e-mail editing the scripts until we had the final script. I really felt like Leora paid attention to our lives and that truly showed during our ceremony. I can't count on both hands how many of our guests complimented Leora's work during our ceremony - many of them went up to her themselves to say what a wonderful job she did and what a unique ceremony we had. I would highly recommend Leora to fellow brides and grooms...if I could do my wedding all over again, I would hire her in a heartbeat again!

Leora was an absolute pleasure to work with. She has a very calm and professional nature that can definitely put this nervous bride and groom at ease. We met with her a few times before the wedding to finalize the ceremony. She listened carefully, and patiently, to our requests for the ceremony and offered excellent ideas and suggestions to help us create our wedding vision. Leora was definitely a star at the wedding. Wow, there is sooo much to say about Leora and all of it is GREAT! I found Leora online since I didn't belong to a church, nor did my Hubby to Be. I liked that she could cater to all different religions and backgrounds. We met at a convenient location for a consultation. (She lives in VA, I work in MD, so she was kind enough to meet me rather than make me do the drive!). When I met Leora I fell in love. She loves what she does and she has a passion for it. I was convinced she would be the best fit for my wedding because she was attentive, bright, well-spoken and professional, and she has a great positive energy. Most of all, she listens. She captured everything I said in the best ceremony I could have asked for! She worked with me to come up with a great service and customize it to honor the people that my Hubby and I cared for most. She felt like family! Everyone was impressed with her; including my hubby and guests! She also did a fantastic job with the rehearsal. It should have been run by the wedding planner, but Leora stepped up and compensated where my "newby" wedding planner lacked (just about everywhere!). Everything Leora does she does with the utmost professionalism and kindness! She goes above and beyond and I can't thank her enough for making my wedding day so much more special than hiring just 'any officiant'. Finally, her rates are fairly aligned with the market rates for officiants despite the extra TLC and phenomenal service that she offers! Thank you Leora!

Leora was fantastic!!! She was a great listener and created a great ceremony for us that really reflected the way we feel about one another. She helped include my husband's child in the ceremony and some traditions in the Peace Corps country that I served. It was a beautiful day that had a lot of sentimental additions to it. Leora was a wonderful officiant! You could tell that she really enjoys her job! During our first meeting she was very attentive and she definitely got a full understanding of our love. She provided many options for readings and scriptures. She also was very helpful during the rehearsal, in which she was very detail oriented. During the ceremony she seemed like she had known us forever and just blended in! I really appreciated her presence and my nerves were put at ease with her around!

Leora is quite simply....AMAZING! She met with my fiance and I almost a year out from our wedding as I wanted the "perfect" person to deliver our ceremony and was prepared to meet with several officiants. However, upon minutes of meeting Leora, I knew that she was the woman I wanted! She was genuinely interested in getting to know us and learn our vision for the ceremony. Before I knew it 2 + hours had gone by. The days leading up to our wedding, Leora always "checked in" on how the planning was going and provided ample suggestions and recommendations for the ceremony order, vows, readings and other additions. Furthermore, she was encouraging with incorporating our own ideas. At the rehearsal, she was very aware of the raw emotions of a bride and groom and supported us every step of the way. Initially, when she asked us to say our vows at the rehearsal I was caught off guard. However, it was exact thing that I didn't even know that I needed. I was quite emotional during the rehearsal which I didn't anticipate and it curbed the tears the day of the wedding. :) During the wedding, she was supportive of my nervous soon-to-be husband and eliminated a lot of the anger that he felt when the ceremony began late due to the late arrival of our shuttle. Leora was articulate, expressive, and delivered our ceremony PERFECTLY. Also, she improvised a very meaningful statement when my groom accidentallly over filled our unity sand!!! Leora graciously stayed through our cocktail hour making her rounds and being personable with our guests. Several of our guests even commented on how "sweet" and "genuine" she was! Overall, my husband and I are VERY pleased with our decision to choose Leora and I promise that you will be as well!

Our wedding day wouldn't have been the same without Leora. We held our wedding on a Sunday and our church was unable to send us a minister to officiate, so we needed to hire an officiant instead. We met with Leora initially several months prior to the wedding and she was very thorough in getting a feel for us as a couple and our individual personalities to bring a personal feel to her services on your day. At the wedding, guests assumed we had a personal relationship with her because of the obvious comfort level between she and me and my fiance during the ceremony. In sum, Leora is super-organized, prompt, meticulous, poised, eloquent, and responsive--a must for me with respect to vendors, but she is truly exceptional. She was very patient and helpful in planning the ceremony (and leading our rowdy rehearsal), but without even a hint of being judgmental or pushy--she strives to give you YOUR perfect day! She definitely delivered for us and I couldn't have been happier. I would give her my highest recommendation to any couple.

Leora is amazing! We did premarital counseling sessions with Leora, and she also performed our ceremony. She is a consummate professional, yet personable and genuine. She made our ceremony meaningful and injected the perfect amount of humor exactly when it was needed. Most importantly, Leora understands that each couple is unique and she helps you create a ceremony that is meaningful to you - she never made us feel like just another couple. We love Leora! My fiancee and I had originally planned to interview 3 officiants, but after we met Leora, we just felt very at ease with her, and cancelled our other 2 interviews. We did not have a pastor or anyone to marry us, and at first we felt a little odd hiring someone you don't know to marry you...but that definitely changed by the time of the wedding.One of the reasons we choose Leora was because she offered premarital counseling. My fiancee and I really didn't have any "big issues" but we are in our 30's, and I think as adults, we knew the value in just having a 3rd party talk to us about some of the things marriage would bring/change in our lives. We really really found the counseling sessions beneficial - my fiancee wanted to do more than 4 (this from an active duty military man!) because he just thought it was a productive way to talk about the past and the future and the up's and the down's of our relationship. It was definitely a good investment in each other to sit down with Leora once a month leading up to our wedding.As an officiant - Leora was equally wonderful! She provided us several different ideas for our ceremony and we cut and pasted what we liked out of each one in to a ceremony that fit us. She had a great little reading about dogs that fit our own love of dogs really well. I had no problem getting in touch with her via e-mail, she came to the rehearsal and made sure everyone knew where to go, when to go, and what to do. She was flexible and handled changes easily - because we had a few things flex over the months about how the ceremony would run(grandparents coming/then not coming; ringbearers coming/then not coming/then coming).The day of the wedding she did a great job - well spoken, well orchestrated, but relaxed and not stuffy or formal. We had several people come up and compliment us on how much they enjoyed her and the ceremony!One final kudos - my husband was deploying one week after we got back from our honeymoon - so we had to get our attested marriage license very quickly so we could take it to the military base and get me enrolled as a dependent. I asked Leora if she would be able to get us a copy quickly and it was not a problem. We arrived home from the honeymoon to find 2 attested copies of our marriage license in the mail from her - so the next day we were able to get me entered in to all the databases on base to make sure I'm taken care of while my husband is gone. Thank you!!I think we both feel like we have made lifelong friends with Leora - she truly cares about the couples she get's to know and seeing us succeed.

Leora did a great job with us. We both come from a Roman Catholic background but are now Agnostic, so we wanted a largely secular ceremony focused on love and partnership, without many references to God. We were looking for someone who would be very flexible with us on the ceremony text, and she was. She also gave us some great ideas on what we could include in the ceremony and how the structure of the ceremony usually works. She was very responsive in setting up meetings with us. We did not end up doing a rehearsal, which was something I thought at first we absolutely needed; but I realized after talking with her it was just about where people were going to stand. We did not do a rehearsal, but she talked with our bridal party before the ceremony, and everything went smoothly. Her cost is right in the range with other celebrants in the area. I highly recommend her!

Leora was very professional and courteous and did a great job at our wedding. When we first met her we knew immediately that she was the person we wanted to officate our wedding. She did a great job and we would definitely recommend her to family and friends!
