With a thirty year career of providing top-rated event facilities for weddings, parties and gatherings, the operators of the The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit are pleased to introduce a similarly stunning location in Walkserville, Md., where a historic homestead , overlooking rolling country side of this small town is available for your wedding and reception. Although, just a short drive from Washington, DC or Baltimore, Md., the long driveway leading to the home, flanked by towering pines, brings you to a feeling of a different place and time. The stone and brick farm house wrapped by a wide front porch was built in 1757 by the town’s namesake, John Walker. However, the house inside is anything but aged. Boasting modern amenities, fixtures and features, it retains its charm with period chosen hardware and original oak floors stretching through the house and banquet room that spans the back of the house. French doors in the banquet room stretch down the length of the room and open onto a stone patio. The banquet space in this room can welcome up to 60 guests. For events that choose to open onto the back lawn, our glass enclosed event area can accommodate up to 300 guests. Invite your guests to stroll the property for its 350 degree view of countryside, cool themselves in t he gazebo or simply enjoy the gentler pace of this elegant country farm house.

No less beautiful, The Lodge at Blue Ridge Summit sits on a gentle mountain top in Blue Ridge Summit, PA. This charming inn and banquet hall offer an excellent location for weddings, social events, anniversaries, family reunions, picnics and meetings and any other gathering that would appreciate its stunning view and amenities.  

On the 68 acres surrounding The Lodge, guests can enjoy the vivid views of the valley from its mountain top perch. Flowering azaleas and rhododendrons, dogwood and redbuds dot the sprawling lawns and wooded landscape in the spring. The leafy canopy of the woods can cool outdoor celebrations in the summer and in fall that canopy—of fir, birch, oak and maple trees—parades its majestic colors. In winter the frost gilds the woods in its pristine glaze.

Enter The Lodge through large double doors where a large stone fireplace, cathedral ceiling and slate floors welcome you.  A stately, double doorway leads from the entrance foyer and lounge to the ballroom, with high ceilings, large chandeliers and windows that stretch to the ceiling offering a view of the property.  A slightly more intimate and more formal ballroom also boasts soaring ceilings, elegant chandeliers and a stone fireplace. Both rooms have access to our front porch. A 100 foot lanai with a high wood roof, large wooden pillars and a view that stretches for miles is the perfect stoop for watching the mist hover over the valley, the sun set or the occasional ginger appearance of the forest’s timid residents.
